Antebellum
 Romance inCharleston

Ardee & Doug knew they were falling in love when after meeting for a friendly lunch, they both felt an instant attraction and pull to each other. Sometime later, while on a weekend getaway tour of Magnolia Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina, Doug popped the question while standing atop the Wentworth Mansion in the cupola. When deciding where to have their wedding, Ardee, Doug and each of their 14 year old daughters decided there was no more perfect place than Magnolia Plantation to take their vows. After extensively looking for a Charleston photographer, Ardee decided she could think of no one better than Evansville photographer, Amanda King of Simply Savvy Photography to come to Charleston with them and capture their perfect day amongst the old antebellum beauty of the beautiful southern city. They worked with the staff at Magnolia Plantation to plan their simple ceremony with just their two daughters standing up with them. Silk bouquets made by J’Petals here in the Tri-State traveled well and will last as a beautiful memento to display in their home after the wedding. The memorable trip and intimate elopement ceremony couldn’t have been more perfect for them and their daughters, and the old-world setting made for a fairy-tale beginning to their new blended family.
