AutoCAD® Electrical Fundamentals DESCRIPTION AutoCAD Electrical is AutoCAD optimised for electrical controls design, it includes a specific set of features and additional commands specifically developed for the creation and modification of electrical control systems. The optimised operations and comprehensive symbol libraries help to increase productivity, reduce errors, and provide accurate information to manufacturing.
OBJECTIVES To teach students how to use many of the powerful electrical drawing creation tools in the software. Students create schematic drawings (ladder logic and point to point), panel drawings, and PLC-I/O circuits using automated commands for symbol insertion, component tagging, wire numbering, and drawing modification. In addition, students are introduced to methods of customising AutoCAD Electrical software symbols, circuits, and databases. Autodesk® Inventor® Sheet Metal Design DESCRIPTION This course introduces the concepts and techniques of sheet metal modelling with the Autodesk Inventor software. The structure of the course follows the typical stages of using Inventor.
OBJECTIVES To teach the student how to create sheet metal parts, edit them, generate flat patterns, and document the designs in drawings.
PREREQUISITES The topics presented in this training course assume prior knowledge of 3D solid part modelling using the Autodesk Inventor software. In addition, some background with designing and drafting 3D parts is recommended. Autodesk® Navisworks® Essentials DESCRIPTION This course teaches students workflows to combine 3D geometry from cross disciplines into one scene to enable effective model reviews.

Autodesk® Revit® BIM Management DESCRIPTION Building Information Modelling (BIM) is an approach to the entire building life cycle. Autodesk Revit Architecture, Autodesk Revit MEP, and Autodesk Revit Structure are powerful BIM programmes that support the ability to coordinate, update, and share design data with team members throughout the design, construction, and management phases of a building’s life. A key component in managing the BIM process is to establish a foundation for different types of projects by creating standard templates and custom elements.
OBJECTIVES To enable students to expand their knowledge in setting up office standards with templates that include annotation styles, preset views, sheets, and schedules, as well as creating custom element types and families.
