{2) Assemble all other parts in reverse order of thEir removal.
Adjusting the Hino EL100 valve clearance
( 1) 6-time adjusting 1 l Turning the crank shah, fit the rnark "1-6" of tr,e flywheel to the pointer. Then either p·1ston No. 1 or 6 will be top dead center.
4) Turning the crankshah (crank pulley} clockwise by ° 120 . Adjust the valve clearance for each cylinder in the Iring order ( 14-2-6-3-5), as shown in Fig. 3-2-49.

2) If there is p lay in both No. l intake and exhaust rocker arms. No.1 piston is top dead center in th,� compression stroke. 3) After positioning the No.1 piston at the top dead center, insert a feeler gauge between the rocker arm and valve stem adjust. The clearance by turning the adjuster screw with , screw driver. Then set the clearance by the lockin� nut. Adjust the intake and exhaust valves of eac,1 cylinder at the same time.

(2) Secondary adjustment Set No .1 piston to �op dead center of the compres sion stroke as per above. In this position the valve ° and may be adjusted. Rotate the crankshaft 360 so the piston of the No.6 cylinder will be top dead center, then valves and may be adjusted. Cylinder No.
