MEET THE OF THE

Good day Warlords, It is with great pleasure that I serve you, my fellow warlords, as the Executive Secretary of the School of Engineering Students’ Representative Council for the AY 2020/2021. In this capacity, I handle the administrative tasks of the council such as scheduling meetings, scheduling office duty, typing reports, and assisting with document preparation amongst other things. I also co-chair the Publications Team and the Engineering Students' Support Unit. What this means is that I assist the Vice President of Publications and Academic Affairs to carry out their duties where those two units mentioned above are concerned. Going forward for this Academic Year, I will continue to serve by carrying out these small tasks to ensure that the efficiency and effectiveness of the Council is maintained as we continue to serve you as best as we can.

WELCOME WARLORDS! I’ll start by allowing you to get to know a little bit of who I am personally. I am Nathaniel Lynch, a third year student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I am very passionate about photography and videography and also enjoy playing sports like Badminton and Tennis. Now, let’s get right into it. As your Vice President of Public Relations for the Academic Year 2020/21, I, along with the Executive Secretary, manage the Public Relations aspect of the Council. More specifically, it is our duty to create and supervise a Publications Team in which efficiently produces quality notices, flyers, videos and more, to keep you, the students, informed and updated. Additionally, it is my duty to ensure that the UTech, Ja. School of Engineering, improves that ‘Engine Standard’, passed down to us by our predecessors. What do I mean by ‘Engine Standard’? Well, for the persons who don’t know, the UTech, Ja. School of Engineering is the number one (1) School in the University, no question. We, collectively as a student body, are a part of a legacy and it is our duty to pass on this legacy so that Engine will forever be number one 1. As we all know, teamwork makes the dream vwork. I therefore encourage you all to live by our motto, ‘ONE SCHOOL! ONE ENGINE!’. Cohesiveness in the field of Engineering is very much key. I will ensure to continue carrying out my duties in representing you, efficiently keep you updated and informed using various mediums, and also ensure Engine remains number one 1.
