Keystone Christian Academy (KCA) has relocated to Asbury Church, 340 E. Market St., in York’s Historic District and has opened enrollment for the 201819 school year. KCA will use the church’s existing Sunday school classrooms and youth ministry facilities to educate community children within a Christian context. KCA’s focus on helping families with spiritual or financial needs aligns with the goals of the Asbury congregation’s work in its urban York environment. Like the church, KCA seeks to be financially responsible and to exercise good business practices while at the same time operating in faith and giving God the opportunity to work. The school’s target market in York County includes all families with 3-year-old children in prekindergarten through children in grade eight. Enrollment is not limited by race, religion, or socioe-
conomic status. The school’s foundation is the Christian faith, but KCA’s staff is able to work with other community resources to provide help related to needs that may arise in students’ families’ social situations. KCA teachers use resources according to each child’s learning style rather than a set curriculum. Students are taught with attention given to their strengths and learning inclinations. KCA’s daily schedule features academics in the morning and enrichment in the afternoon so homeschoolers may choose a halfday schedule that fits their needs for either academic courses or cocurricular activities to supplement their at-home learning. The school offers an option of five full days that includes academics and enrichment, as well as an option of four full days from Mondays to Thursdays, offering academics, enrichment, and assignments to complete at home on the fifth day.
Asbury Church in York now houses Keystone Christian Academy. Applications are being accepted for the 2018-19 school year. received. For more information, readers may visit www.KCA -york.com. Need-based scholarships are available. KCA is accepting donations toward scholarships.
Students in prekindergarten or kindergarten may choose from five full-day, four full-day, four half-day, and five half-day options. Applications for the 2018-19 school year are currently being
