York JCC Will Host Programs The York Jewish Community Center is adding two physical wellness programs. Aqua Stand Up is a full-body workout inspired by stand-up paddle boarding. The program incorporates elements of yoga and Pilates. Participants use their own body weight, bands and/or paddle. Classes can be taken by adults and teenagers. For more information, readers may email Patty Neidigh at patty@yorkjcc.org.
The York JCC received a grant from the York County Community Foundation for programming for movement disorders, to be launched early this fall. The series of classes follows the Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery approach, developed to directly target foundational skills that interfere with everyday mobility. For more information, readers may email Meghan Hayes at mhayes@yorkjcc.org.
