now danced upon the little Christmas tree farm. The barn’s lights glowed warmly, while a fire crackled. Hot chocolate and warm cider steamed from a stand nearby. Families wandered through rows of trees, tugging their coats tighter to keep out the wind that began to unfold its fingers. Among all the crowds there was one family that stood out. A girl and her parents trudged through whitening grass to a tree. The girl, her face pink and happy, ran ahead.

Haul-idays!

“What do you think?” they asked. Lily studied the pine. She loved it. Her parents ripped the tag off one of the branches. Lily wandered toward the stand of drinks. Taking off her mittens, she took a cup of cider and sat down by the fire. Watching families pass, singing carols through stifled laughter, she wished Christmas could last all year. She didn’t just mean presents; she meant the joy it brought, the memories it made, and the hope she felt about Christ coming into the world. Lily thought for a moment. Why couldn’t the spirit of Christmas last all year? If you thought about it - the Christmas spirit wasn’t just carols and presents, it went deeper. It was bringing joy to the world and sharing Christ’s light. It was creating lasting memories. Lily jumped up and ran to her mom. “Could I have a pen and paper?” Her mom laughed, dug into her purse, and handed them to her. Lily ran back to the fire and started scribbling furiously. -Ask mom if we can plant a herb garden together -Create crafts to hand out to my teachers -Offer to clean Grandma’s basement -Write notes of encouragement to people at church Lily knew these were simple things, but they were a start to making the Christmas Spirit last all year.

Christmas spirit

he Christmas spirit is when someone takes joy in making others happy during the holiday season. “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35. This is what makes December abright and happy month. How can we keep that joy alive throughout the entire year? One way people celebrate Christmas is by spending time with their families. Make it a point to stay in touch with relatives throughout the coming year. You could dedicate specific times to gathering with your family. You could have a meal or take a walk. You might even enjoy having a picnic or playing kickball. If time is extremely tight a Zoom meeting might have to be done. Do what it takes to stay in contact with your family. Another way people live out the Christmas spirit all year is by treating others with kindness. Chocolate Chip cookies throughout the year do the same thing as Gingerbread during December. You could also help your neighbors with yardwork or take someone out for coffee. A random note of encouragement is also a wonderful way to brighten someone’s day. Another way to show kindness is listening to others, and not always talking about yourself. Sometimes it might just be a smile. In conclusion Christ was born at Christmas. So, living in a way that honors Him is the ultimate way to keep the Christmas spirit alive throughout the entire year. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and keep the joy of Christmas alive through the coming year.

How can you live out your Christmas spirit all year long?

he best ways to keep the Christmas spirit alive all year long is by spending time with your family and thinking about others before yourself. The spirit of Christmas is all about connection and being with your family. Someday you might not have them and cherishing your memories together is important. Putting others first, especially your family is not only keeping the Christmas spirit alive, but the key to a happy healthy life. Not only at Christmas but all year long, one way I keep my Christmas spirit alive is by cherishing and adoring every moment with my family. I always take it as my mission to spend as much quality time with everyone as I can because it is special and reminds me just how magical Christmas can be. Another way I keep the Christmas spirit alive all year long is by thinking of others before myself. Losing my aunt was really traumatic. So I decided to try to help my family members feel better by making homemade gifts and sending them in the mail, and hand-delivering them. It made everyone so happy because they knew I was thinking of them. It made me feel really great to make them feel so delighted as I saw a smile spread from ear to ear. If you’re able to keep the Christmas spirit alive by spending time with loved ones and doing what you can for others through the year, then you are winning at life.

The Christmas spirit

ow do you keep the Christmas spirit all year long? To me, the Christmas spirit means giving up yourself and helping others. To accomplish this, go help a neighbor who is elderly and can’t mow the lawn. Help a young mom who has young children. Visit a sick person in the hospital.

H

ost people believe Christmas is having fun, spending time with loved ones, making cookies, waiting for presents under a tree, and much more entertainment. When we walk around stores, we see bright decorations and hear festive songs. Even with all of the lights and continuous music, we tend to forget the actual meaning of Christmas. When do we take time to truly think about and remember when our Savior came down from heaven to be a definition of love through his life ending on a cross to save us of our sins?

If everyone had compassion, life would be so different. People wouldn’t have mental illnesses because of loneliness. People would not be out on the streets without homes. The mailman would be happiest person ever with a plate of delicious cookies from a thankful customer. People full of joy would be outside singing for others. People would be out going from house to house singing songs at whatever time of year it is. You would give a wrapped surprise to someone just because. In the store, if you meet up with a person who is having a bad day and pay her bill.

With all of the exhilarating festivities, how can we live out our Christmas spirit during Christmas and every day? I don’t think that Christmas spirit is just “togetherness” or doing “Christmaslike” things. I believe that it also is sharing with others about how Jesus Christ came to save us from death and give us eternal life. During this holiday season let’s share this Gospel message with everyone around us. Instead of getting caught up in all of these good things, we can simply show love in little things. We can show this love through putting others first, holding doors for people, or even just giving a smile. At this time of year, we sometimes focus on ourselves instead of others. We think about what I want to do, or what will please me. How about living out the Christmas spirit by what can I do for others, or what can I do that will make someone smile?

Be sure not to forget your family members. Help mom with making supper. Make sure dad doesn’t need help with the project he’s working on. Read a book to your little sibling who can’t read yet. Most importantly don’t forget to thank God for sending His Son not only at Christmas but throughout the entire year!

Christmas spirit

How can we live out our Christmas spirit all year long? It can be so easy to lose sight of the many things that we can be thankful for. One way to live out the Christmas spirit is to remember the wonderful gift that God has given us by sending Jesus down to earth. Without that gift we wouldn’t have anything to celebrate. Another way is to give to those less fortunate and share the spirit of giving. My family helps with a Good News Club. Getting to give to the kids and see the exited looks on their faces when we tell them stories and just talk to them truly feels like Christmas all over again. God showed his love for us so we should reflect that same love all year long.

How can you live out your Christmas spirit all year long? There are many ways to live out your Christmas spirit all year long. Christmas is important to everyone in some way and everyone has a different way of expressing it. Christmas is a cheerful time, not a time to be a Grinch or a Scrooge it is a time to spend with your family and friends. There are many ways to show the excitement for Christmas, here are a couple.

One way to live out your Christmas spirit all year long is to listen to Christmas music and watch Christmas movies. Most people start listening to Christmas music and watching Christmas movies after Thanksgiving and others don’t celebrate at all. People shouldn’t have to wait to watch their favorite Christmas movie or listen to their favorite Christmas song after Thanksgiving when they can play it where and when they want Christmas doesn’t have to be December 25 it can be July 23, March 7, or even September 19. It only depends on how you live that Christmas spirit all year round. Here is one more way to live out your Christmas spirit all year long. People don’t bring out the Christmas sweaters until the Christmas parties, but what if we wore them all year? We all wear sweaters, especially in the fall so wear them then. We also have summer, we should have at least one T-shirt to wear during Christmas so why don’t you wear them during other times of the year as well. There are only 25 days, which is only 600 hours that the average person spends living out their Christmas spirit. This is why it is important to live out your Christmas spirit all year long.

Pick up a great gift for your family & friends!

Keeping up the Christmas cheer

The Christmas spirit

Age 11 | Wyomissing

Age 14 | East Earl

Don’t you wish everyday Christmas? Spirits are high, everyone is together, and no one has a frown on their face! At least I hope so.... On Christmas at my house, we celebrate the birth of Jesus, and family. Everybody is generous, giving each other gifts! Kindness is everywhere and even complete strangers say, “Merry Christmas!” Or “Happy Holidays!” with a big smile on their face! At Christmas everybody feels loved!

I believe that the Christmas spirit is a good thing and should not just be reserved for a certain time of year, but should continue all year through. It is a time of giving which I believe we should give even when there is no expectation to give.It is important to always share the blessings we recieve with others.

How can we keep the Christmas spirit all year though? No, you shouldn’t go around saying, “Merry Christmas!” in May or put Christmas decorations out during Valentines Day! But we could still show kindness, generosity, and stay peppy! If you see someone lonely or depressed, you could ask them if they want some company or if they want to talk. If someone looks cold, you could lend them your coat. Or you could always share it too. If there’s a will there’s a way! Also, nobody likes to see grumpy faces, it’s contagious! We should always try to keep a smile up on our face for other people to see. Yes, even if it is a Monday! And just as we remember Jesus’ birth on Christmas, we should keep him in mind all year round with prayers and songs of praise!

Another spirit that Christmas brings, that I believe is important would be joy. We tend to be very happy and glad over Christmas time, then the next week we act so irritable no one even wants to be around us. If we would continue to be joyful all year round we would be able to enjoy each other much more.

I know this might sound tricky or overwhelming, but I know if we can give it our all and slap a smile on, we can stay in that Christmas spirit! So, how will you keep the cheer all year?

The Christmas spirit tends to be portrayed in a way that makes people think only about themselves. This is why I think it is important to stop and think about the reason for Christmas, to celebrate Jesus birth. Maybe when we think about it in this way we can better understand the spirit of Christmas. Then perhaps when we understand the true spirit of Christmas we can better live it out in are daily lives.

My family has learned to say please and thank-you to show that they know how to make their Christmas Spirit last the whole year. If someone gives us candy or a treat we share with our younger siblings. To be kind we willingly do jobs that other people don’t like to do. Giving birthday gifts or gifts of appreciation is also showing the Christmas Spirit.

Christmas spirit

These are my thoughts on how you can live out your Christmas spirit. One way is to listen to Christmas music. It is never too early to get Christmas songs stuck in your head. Sometimes, it’s fun to sing songs like “Mary Did You Know” because of their beautiful tune. And then there are songs like “ Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” They make absolutely no sense, but no one can resist them. Another thing is decorations! Why would anyone not put up a snowflake or even Christmas lights around the mirror? Christmas lights are a little much but never too much for a Christmas lover! A little sign that says something like “Peace and Joy” is all you need. Lastly, your attitude. Christmas can be about giving and getting but what about the rest of the year that is not actually Christmas time? Your attitude is something you have all year, 24/7. Attitude can also be your spirit. So have a cheerful and joyful attitude, and you can have a cheerful and joyful Christmas spirit. These are just the start of the many ways you can live out your Christmas spirit all year long but don’t forget the whole reason we even have a Christmas to celebrate. “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11 ESV.” This is the true meaning of Christmas. Jesus is the reason for the season!

How can you live out Christmas spirit all year long?

You can live out the Christmas spirit by giving gifts. Around Christmas time this is very popular and is one reason we look forward to Christmas. Giving gifts all year long is a good way to bless others. You can give gifts randomly or when a special event happens to show Christmas spirit. You can use your talents to make homemade gifts that feel more personal and meaningful. Spending time to make homemade gifts shows how much you care about and appreciate the person who receives the gift. You can also show Christmas spirit by being thankful. If someone gives you a gift you should show gratitude to the person who gave it to you. It’s good to be thankful at all times and give gifts to show Christmas spirit all year long.

How can you live out your Christmas spirit all year long?

How can you live out your Christmas spirit all year long? There are the obvious ways to do so, you could get a gift every month, put a Christmas tree up all year, or bake Christmas cookies in the summer. The list could go on but the most important part of Christmas is helping those in need. There are lots of people who can’t afford to buy their kids gifts or can’t make a big feast for Christmas dinner, so we should help those so they can have enjoyable holidays as well. Last year my family helped my dad’s barber buy many bikes to donate to Toys for Tots. We donated around 50 plus bikes. I hope it made the kids’ holiday special. It made me feel proud because I got to help them have a good Christmas. Last Christmas my church partnered with Good Sam and invited the homeless to sleep at our church overnight. They were able to stay warm and eat a good meal. People even gave them stockings with essentials in them. Since my church helped them they had a warm place to stay for the holiday. Lastly, the kids’ ministry at my church is raising money to buy Christmas gifts for needy kids. We have raised about four hundred dollars and we plan on having fundraisers. I’m glad that kids will be able to get clothing and toys for Christmas. These are all things I have done over the holidays, but why can’t we do these things all year long? People should feel special all year, not just at Christmas time. To live out the Christmas spirit season all year long is not to bake Christmas cookies, put up a tree, or get a gift every month, instead, you have to help those in need.

Living out your Christmas spirit all year long

How can you live out your Christmas spirit all year long? By showing love in doing or giving things to bring joy to people. To live the Christmas spirit all year long. There are many different ways. One way is helping the less fortanute I voluntered at a store this summer where the money went to the needy. We sorted shoes, tied bedsheets together, and stuffed bags with bedsheets and shirts and more. Another way is bringing joy to people by inviting friends for dinner. We invited someone that lived alone. That had cancer. And doing somethings brings both joy to me and to them. Love is the greatest part. We can love each other by being kind, helping people with there work, or doing anything kind to them. By doing all these things gives us peace.
