Sophomore Isabella Gordon’s digital artwork “Lost in Space” placed in the top 25% in Celebrating Art, a nationwide student contest sponsored by Blick Art Materials. Isabella’s work was created on the school’s Wacom Cintiq computers as part of her Art I class with Susan Ulrich and Bot Roda. Isabella won an art supplies gift card, and her drawing was accepted to be published in a national anthology of student artworks. The book will be printed and available in March.

Change Of Pace Bible Studies Posted Change of Pace Central women’s Bible study has announced its winter session. The first meeting will take place from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27, at Lancaster Alliance Church, 210 Pitney Road, Lancaster. Books will be available for purchase on this date. The studies will be “Made to Crave” by Lysa TerKeurst and “Finding God Faithful” by Kelly Minter. “Made to Crave” examines wellness and spiritual cravings. It also includes tips on healthy eating from Angela Licata. “Finding God Faithful” focuses on the biblical story of Joseph, who was betrayed by his family and sold into slavery. Servant Stage’s original adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” will return from Nov. 11 to Dec. 18 at dozens of venues across Lancaster County. Venues will include the Ware Center, where it will be presented from Dec. 15 to 18. 2022 will also see a large expansion of Servant Stage’s youth theater program for students ages 10 to 18. Servant Stage will offer youth productions of “Matilda Jr.” and “Our Town” in January and February at the Magic & Wonder Theater in Paradise as well as three summer theater camps in July, with youth productions of “Frozen Jr.,” “Annie Jr.,” and “Lion King Jr.” Registration for all of these camps is currently available at www. servantstage.org/camps. Two Lancaster Catholic High School art students were recently awarded national and international prizes for their digital artwork. Junior Chris Cavender is a top 20 finalist in the Herschel Workshop Challenge, a competition for National Art Honor Society (NAHS) students throughout the U.S. and Canada. This program offers 20 semifinalist students a career-focused online education program in backpack design, working with PENSOLE instructors and Herschel Supply design mentors. Chris’ innovative backpack drawing won him a five-week mentorship with professional product designers as well as a gift card. Out of the 20 final-
