NAHS students making print to benefit fire department

Members of the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) at Hempfield High School are currently hard at work creating a woodblock print to raise money for the Hempfield Fire Department. NAHS is not yet collecting money for print purchases but is accepting reservations while supplies last. To reserve a print, email dan_clarke@hempfieldsd.org.

The limited-edition print is being handmade by NAHS with an etching press and will be laser-engraved onto blocks of wood. The design for the print was created by student illustrator Lydia Card, who will sign each finished product. The print is 11 by 14 inches and will also be matted and ready to fit a 16-by-20inch frame. Only 101 prints will be made; 100 will be sold, and one will be given to the Hempfield Fire Department. Half of the money raised from sales will also be donated to the fire department, and the remainder of the profits will be used to cover the cost of materials such as ink, paper and wood blocks

Annual wreath-laying ceremony held at Woodward Hill Cemetery

On April 22, the annual wreath laying ceremony to honor James Buchanan was held at the former president’s tomb in Woodward Hill Cemetery in Lancaster. The tradition of laying a fresh wreath of flowers at United States presidents’ tombs each year has been observed for decades and is completed for every individual who has held the office.

The ceremony included remarks from guests such as Assistant Adjutant General of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard James McCormick, chairman of the Lancaster County Commissioners Ray D’Agostino,

Lancaster City Chief of Police Richard Mendez, Nathan Gilchrist III of Masonic Lodge 43, Jean Weglarz of Woodward Hill Cemetery and director of President James Buchanan’s Wheatland Patrick Clarke. The event was hosted by LancasterHistory in partnership with Woodward Hill Cemetery, and an invocation and benedictionwas deliveredby Timothy Mentzer of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Many groups provided support for the ceremony, including the Pilot Club of Lancaster, Scouts BSA Troop 58, the Lancaster Fencibles, the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard and the 328th Brigade Support Battalion of the Pennsylvania National Guard.

and to support the students in NAHS.

NAHS has previously aided local charities through projects such as making holiday cards; however, the woodblock venture is larger in scope than most of them. Dan Clarke, an art teacher at Hempfield High School, is assisting the group of students with the process of making the prints. Clarke previously worked in the printing and commercial art industry and is using his experience to guide the students through the project. NAHS decided to benefit the Hempfield Fire Department with this sale because NAHS member Alex Shufflebottom is a member of the company.

“The goal of the project is a little bit different than when we’ve made holiday cards. If you have this piece of art in someone’s home, it’s a reminder of this entity in the community that’s volunteer based,” Clarke said. “It’s like having a billboard for the fire company in people’s houses. All of our classes are great and let our students produce great work, but this lets them have a direct positive impact.”

Ceremony frompg 1

“It’s a small and solemn service to bring a wreath to the gravesite and remember that president’s service,” Clarke said. “Not every community has a former president who they can claim as one of their community members. Whether you feel that Buchanan was a good president or a horrible one, he was a Pennsylvanian.”

We encourage civic and fraternal groups, schools, churches, scouts, and other local organizations to submit news releases of general interest to the majority of our readership. Primary consideration is given to dated articles of an informative nature–activities and events of local interest sponsored, presented, or planned by area organizations and institutions. Related photographs of good quality are encouraged also, but complete picture identification must be included. Undated articles of general interest are used as space permits. All articles must contain a contact name and telephone number.

The date of the ceremony was selected to fall near Buchanan’s date of birth, which is April 23. LancasterHistory first became involved with the event to assist with the ceremony and tie it into its educational programming, as the organization primarily offers exhibits and tours at Buchanan’s former home in Lancaster.

Many of the groups participate in the ceremony each year because of their direct relation to the former president.

Buchanan is considered to be one of the earliest members of Pennsylvania’s National Guard due to his serving as a militia member in the War of 1812. Due to this connection, for the annual service the Pennsylvania National Guard provides soldiers to perform color guard duties, raise a new American flag and speak on Buchanan’s history and involvement in the military. The Red Rose Honor Guard donates a new flag for the raising every year and offers the service of one of its members to play taps for the ceremony. During Buchanan’s time as president and as a member of Congress, he consistently voted to provide support for the country’s military.

Buchanan was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and became master of the Masonic Lodges in Lancaster, Lebanon and York while serving in the House of Represen-

tatives. One of Lancaster city’s seminal members of the police department was a close friend of Buchanan’s. Both the current chief of police and members of the Masonic Lodge said a few words for the ceremony. The Lancaster Fencibles, a group of military re-enactors, performed a rifle salute during the service. The original Fencibles were volun-

teer militia members whose duties included guarding Buchanan when he was elected president and traveled to Washington, D.C.

“It’s a valuable thing to recognize the history of Lancaster,” Clarke said. “These are opportunities to learn about the past, hear how that time period affected our days today and learn from it.”

Roberts to raise funds through event

Jim Roberts of Mount Joy will compete in the 2023 One Lap of America. This will be Roberts’ 14th time competing in the event, and as he did the past several years, he will raise funds for the PA Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC). Over the years, Roberts has raised more than $44,000 in total for PBCC.

Roberts’ transit driver this year will again be fellow car enthusiast Gary “Duck” Drake from the Cincinnati area. Roberts and Drake will travel to race tracks in Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma and Kentucky and then return to Indiana. They will travel approximately 3,600 miles for the event and almost 4,800 miles by the time Roberts arrives home again. Along the way, they will compete against more than 90 other teams.

In recognition of

each community member who donates to Roberts’ effort, Roberts will put a sticker on the roof of the Corvette he will drive during the event; proceeds will benefit PBCC. The donor’s name will be listed on the sticker, or donors can purchase a sticker in honor or memory of a loved one.

To make a donation by credit card, visit www.pabreastcancer.org/one -lap-of-america/. Readers may also donate at Jim Roberts West Main Auto, 14 W. Main St. Mount Joy.

Readers can follow Roberts’

Wood print frompg 1

After Card illustrated the firetruck and firehouse, Clarke combined them with text to create the final design that will be printed on the wood blocks. With the help of Jacob Settle in the high school’s tech department, the design is able to be applied to the wood with a laser engraver, allowing the artists to accomplish a level of complexity with the piece. Once the blocks are engraved, they are sanded down and sealed to allow each unit to withstand the pressure of the printing press. Each print will be slightly varied, as the students are rolling the ink by hand. NAHS members have been staying after school to assist with the project.

In addition to completing

projects like prints to benefit local organizations, members of NAHS regularly take educational field trips together. This year, the group of artists traveled to Philadelphia to visit the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Barnes Foundation, and they have previously traveled to New York City to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art. At the end of April, students visited Hershey Gardens for a group sketching session.

“It’s a really rewarding process. I’ve learned a lot through printing and from being in the club,” said Jeralynn Liranzo, a freshman at Hempfield High School. “It’s really great being able to see art I otherwise might not be able to and put the inspiration back into my art.”

Little ones showcase big creativity

You are never too young to start creating, and now there’s a space where little crafters can showcase and sell their creations. The Little Monsters Bazaar, located within Prussian Street Arcade in Manheim and Lancaster, features products designed and made by youths ages 6 to 15.

The idea for the bazaar came from Wilder Ferrari, the daughter of Prussian Street owners Michael and Susan Ferrari. “It started out as an event that our daughter, who is now 8, wanted to do,” Michael explained. “She wanted to have a lemonade stand at our house, and we were like, ‘Oh, why don’t we do this and create a little business for you, and we’ll do it at the store?’ That evolved into making something like this available for other little kids who are makers and who want to have their own business.”

The first event was held outside behind the store at 49 N. Main St., Manheim, in 2021. It was so successful, the Ferraris decided to make it a permanent fixture inside the store just before Christmas of 2022. Prussian Street Arcade is a vendor marketplace where individual businesses have booths to sell products. All of the young vendors in The Little Monsters Bazaar sell their products within one stand. Kids apply to be part of the bazaar in the same way adult vendors do, by filling out an online application. Products for sale range from one-of-akind art to beaded jewelry, tie-dyed items, home decor,

holiday decorations and more. Wilder has a stand called Wild Lemons, and she makes “whatever strikes her fancy,” Michael said, adding, “She might make backpack accessories or little friendship pins.”

The Little Monsters Bazaar was so well received at the Manheim location, the Ferraris decided to open a Little Monsters Bazaar at their Lancaster location, 2200 Embassy Drive. It opened in April.

“The bazaar is about supporting small businesses and buying local, but it’s also about buying products and supporting kids who have their own business,” Michael said. “People can see, ‘Wow, there are some really crafty people out there.’”

Vendors within The Little Monsters Bazaar rotate about every three months, Michael said, and at any given time there are between five and 10 vendors per location.

“We love the idea of a kid finding sort of their personal power and their creative voice by being able to watch people buy their products,” he stated. “I mean, there’s nothing like knowing that your stuff is in somebody’s house or in somebody’s life because they found value in it. It’s just so affirming to know that people like what you are making.”

For more information about The Little Monsters Bazaar, including a vendor application, visit www.prussianstreet.com.

Knights crush Hershey, hold off Warwick 2-1

The lineup that Hempfield softball coach Chris Landis put together came through in a big way as the Black Knights topped Hershey 13-3 on Saturday, April 22, in a nonleague game at Landisville.

“We had a four-run inning, but there really wasn’t a big inning,” Landis said, alluding to the fact that the Knights had three other innings with three runs each.

Avery Landis went 2-for-2 with three runs batted in to lead Hempfield. Landis raised her batting aver-

age to .500 and her slugging to .890 as she drove in her 19th run on the season.

Carley Ernst struck out five batters and evened her won-lost mark at 4-4. Opposing batters are hitting a mere .196 against Ernst.

The Hershey game ended after five innings due to the 10-run rule.

Monday’s Lancaster-Lebanon League game at Warwick, on the other hand, was a pitchers’ duelone that Ernst won as the Knights edged the Warriors 2-1.

Ernst recorded eight strikeouts and allowed only two walks in the

complete game two-hitter. The Warriors’ only successful rally was in the seventh inning, which she extinguished for the win.

Hempfield improved to 8-3 (6-3 league).

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

The Knights rebounded from a 30 loss to L-L League rival Cedar Crest the previous week as they downed Penn Manor 3-1 on Thursday, April 20 in Landisville.

Speaking of bouncing back, the Knights had to do a bit of that in this exact match.

“It was nice to seeing the fight the team displayed after losing the first set 26-28,” head coach Ken Eiser said. “They boys played well. We all stayed aggressive.”

The Knights charged back to win three straight sets (25-20, 25-23, 25-18).

Aiden Beiler poured in 17 kills for the Knights while Cole Jackson distributed 42 assists on the day. Also contributing were Brady Rigard, with 23 digs, Michael Hester with three blocks and Finley Hunt, who served up three aces.

“Our two returning starters, Aiden Beiler and Ethan Earhart, continue to lead us offensively,” Eiser said.

“Looking ahead to the rest of our league matchups, we really need to keep that same aggressive style,” he replied. “We have put ourselves in a fairly deep hole and will need to

pick up some difficult wins.

“But the talent is there, and we’ll look to build on the Penn Manor win,” added the coach.

Eiser’s outlook translated into a victory for the Knights in their next Section One match. On Tuesday, April 25, Hempfield topped Manheim Township 3-0 on the road.

The Knights rolled to an opening set 25-14 victory but had to scuffle for a 26-24 triumph in the second set. Hempfield (5-3) placed this match in the books with a 25-16 win.

Jackson delivered 26 assists while Hunt went for eight kills on the day. Tyler Bechtel led the team with three aces.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

Having scored in double digits for nine straight matches, the Hempfield boys’ lacrosse team ran into the only team which had handed the Knights a loss this year - Manheim Township.

Hempfield (7-2 league) played three matches in five days, starting with an April 20th 18-4 victory at Ephrata. On Saturday, April 22, the Knights held off Cumberland Valley in a non-league home game 17-7.

Monday, however, the Streaks strengthened their hold on first place in Section One by holding Hempfield to eight goals in a 14-8 match. The Streaks improved to 7-0 (league).

Jason Hilton’s hat trick and two goals from Julian Morales led the way for Hempfield. Carston Rankin, Logan Klinger, and Stephen Pitts each scored one goal.

In the Knights’ two victories, Hilton, who also had an assist, and Morales each scored four. Phillip Krauser notched a hat trick.

Hilton had six goals and an assist in the Cumberland Valley game. Zach Antesberger finished with four.

Also scoring against Ephrata were Antesberger (1g, 2a) Isiah Martin (1g, 1a), Klinger (2g, 0a), plus individual goals by Rankin, Cole Gibbons, and Toby Marco.

Sophomore goalie Aidan French made three saves against the Moun-

taineers. Gabe Colon-Munoz had two and Sean Tollet snagged one save.

The scoring in the CV match included a two-goal game for Kauser as well as for Marco, who assisted twice. Drew Bennett also chipped in with one goal.

The Eagles had to be held back with Colon-Munoz making eight saves and French grabbing three.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

In the girls’ lacrosse action, Hempfield came up empty against Manheim Township on Monday. The Streaks outscored Hempfield 13-1 with Calli Campagna scoring four times. Whitney Hershey scored the Knights’ lone goal as Hempfield fell to 11-3 (7-2 league)

In a non-league contest at Susquehannock on Saturday, April 22, the Knights posted a 10-7 win. Ella Ashton made four crucial saves in the close win.

Hat tricks by Hershey and Isabelle Masengarb paced the offense. Mia Brennan tallied two goals while Hattie Mack and Aubrie Buckwalter each scored once.

In their 16-2 romp of Ephrata on Thursday, April 20, the offensive barrage included a five-goal game by Masengarb plus hat tricks from Hershey and Natalie Bole. Brennan, Mack, Haley Knouse, Lexi Mehaffey, and Ava Covino each scored once.

BASEBALL

Two days following their Saturday, April 22 non-league, 5-1 loss to Hershey, the Knights’ bats erupted for eight runs as they defeated L-L League rival Warwick 8-4.

In the home half of the fourth inning, Hempfield overcame a 3-0 deficit by plating five runs.

In the fourth inning, starting pitcher Stephen Katch singled and trotted home two batters later when Aiden Rodenberger’s single scored Katch and Drew Benchich, who had doubled.

The Knights’ rally continued with RBI singles by Michael Riker and Peter Fiore, the latter of whom drove in two with his hit.

closer, the Knights manufactured runs in the home half of the sixth inning. Leading 5-4 and with two runners on base - a walk and a Warwick error - the Knights not only moved both base runners over on a bunt, Fiore’s one-run single capitalized on the opportunity. Josh Toole’s double gave the Knights their winning margin of 8-4.

In Saturday’s loss to Hershey, Benchich’s RBI single scored Katch with Hempfield’s lone run of the game.

TRACK

McCaskey’s girls’ and boys’ track & field teams topped Hempfield in a Section One meet on Monday with the boys’ meet ending in a 93-56 Red Tornado triumph while the girls’ team won 113-37.

In the boys’ 4x800 relay, Aidan Hodge, who won the 800-meter race at a 2:00.99 clip, joined Spencer Ashba, Joseph Fahrney, and Sam Freedman. The foursome clocked an 8:13.42.

Fahrney went on to win the 1,600 (4:29.82) and Tate Martin took the high hurdles in 16.37.

In field events, Eddie Asadu won the long jump at 20-foot-6 while Braydon Felsinger triple-jumped 411 for a win there.

Julia Sweigart came through with a win in the high hurdles (51.11) and Lydney Rhoads won the high jump at 4-8.

TENNIS

The boys’ tennis team wrapped up the regular season with a nonleague match at home with Dallastown on Thursday, April 20.

Ben Curtin and Will Keppel won a 6-2, 6-4 victory at number two doubles. Cooper Lehman returned to the number one singles post and took care of business in straight sets 6-0, 6-3.

Eric Jordan came up just short in a 6-4, 6-3 number two singles result.

Five Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 267 in West Hempfield Township will join the rank of Eagle during a ceremony on Sunday, May 7. They are Brent Andrew, Andrew Etkin, Hendrix Kohl, Larson McPhail, and Simeon Vieland.

Brent is the son of Christopher and Tracie Andrew of Landisville. He started his Scouting career as a Tiger Cub with Cub Scout Pack 37, where he earned his Arrow of Light. Brent held the leadership positions of assistant quartermaster and librarian, and he is a member of the Order of the Arrow, serving as representative with Troop 267. He also earned three Eagle PalmsBronze, Silver and Gold.

For his Eagle Project, Brent built a mounting block out of pressure-treated wood and a 12-foot pine storage bench for Take Heart Counseling and Equine Assisted Therapy in Wernersville. The bench features removable dividers and a hinged lid to store the horses’ toys and training aides as well as provide seating in the outdoor arena. Brent, a senior at Hempfield High School (HHS), is a member of National Honor Society and plays soccer for Penn Legacy Rec.

Brent plans to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology to major in architecture with a dual degree option.

Andrew is the son of Eric and Cheryl Etkin of Lancaster. He began his Scouting journey as a Tiger with Cub Scout Pack 181, completing all ranks and earning the Arrow of Light Award. He has served Troop 267 as quartermaster, patrol leader, senior patrol leader, and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster and has earned 30 merit badges and a Bronze Eagle Palm.

For his Eagle Project, Andrew worked with LancasterHistory to complete a garden renovation project at President James Buchanan’s Wheatland to create a period-correct garden. The project involved the removal of nine wooden raised garden beds due to their nonconformity to the period-correct aesthetic of the estate. The Scouts excavated an additional 12 inches of soil to make way for new topsoil. Soil and crushed gravel that were removed from the old garden were used to create a new walking path at Wheatland.

Andrew is currently a sophomore at HHS, where he plays varsity soccer. He also plays club soccer for Pennsylvania Classics.

Hendrix became involved in Scouting when he joined Pack 37 as a Tiger Cub. He bridged to Troop 267 at age 12. While a Scout, Hendrix has taken leadership and training roles like den chief and patrol leader, and he is a member of the Order of the Arrow. For Hendrix’s Eagle Project, he built a gaga pit at the Mountville Elementary School.

Hendrix is a junior at HHS and plays varsity lacrosse. He is a member of NHS. After high school, Hendrix plans to attend university to major in finance.

Larson is the son of Mark and Susan McPhail of Lancaster. When he was a Cub Scout with Pack 125, he earned the Arrow of Light. Larson has held the leadership positions of troop guide and patrol leader, is a member of the Order of the Arrow, and has earned 41 merit badges, a Gold and Silver Eagle Palm, and two Bronze Palms. He also earned the National Outdoor Achievement Award for Camping and is a graduate of National Youth Leadership Training.

For his Eagle Project, Larson refurbished and upgraded a music storage room at HHS, where he is a junior and is a member of various band ensembles. He repaired drywall damage, installed protective chair rails, painted the walls, installed a rubber corner

bumper, and hung steel pegboard with shelves and hooks.

At HHS, Larson is a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society and plays trombone and baritone. He has been named to the LLMEA County Band and Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 7 Band. He has performed with Allegro’s Nextgen Youth Music, and he plays soccer for Penn Legacy. After high school, he plans to attend a university to study business or pre-law.

Simeon is the son of Jim and Jessica Vieland. Throughout Simeon’s Scouting career, he has been a historian, webmaster, and troop guide. Simeon also received a religious emblem. For his Eagle Project, he refurbished the firepit area for his church by enlarging the fire circle, building benches, and installing outdoor lighting. This project has provided a meeting space for several groups in his church.

Simeon, an HHS sophomore, is a member of Hempfield’s football team, where he serves on the leadership council. He performs in Hempfield’s musical and Dance Theatre shows, and he sings with the choir and chamber choir. After high school, Simeon plans to get a degree in education, with the goal of teaching math.

art teacher at the school, and balloon animals will be available from Balloonables. Wristbands may be purchased to grant access to all activities during the event.

At the event, the PTO will sell tickets that will be accepted by each attraction, as well as several games operated by the PTO such as a soda toss, a cupcake wheel, a milk bottle toss, a butterfly burst and axe throwing. School staff members will also participate in a dunk tank activity, where students will try to throw a ball at a target to drop a teacher into the water.

A prize drawing for over 60

gift baskets will be held during the event. Each basket includes gift cards or other items donated by local businesses, families of students and teachers at the school. Last year, over 3,000 tickets were sold for the prize drawing to raise money for the PTO. Several teachers have also donated a “teacher experience” for the baskets, which entails an outing for a student and his or her favorite teacher such as getting breakfast together or attending the high school’s theater production. Live entertainment will be provided by a DJ at the event, and food will be available to purchase from Scoops

Public Auctions

Ice Cream and Grille and Skyline Cotton Candy. The PTO will sell walking tacos, soft pretzels, hot dogs, popcorn, chips and beverages. The PTO will only accept cash for food and drinks, and no ATM will be available on-site.

The PTO has been organizing a yearly Fun Fest for over a decade, although this year marks the second event that it has held since taking a break during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Fun Fest serves as the group’s largest fundraiser of the year as well as something for students to look forward to as they take standardized tests and as the school year draws to a close.

Preschool to celebrate

In addition to the Fun Fest, the PTO also organizes fundraisers such as a hoagie sale in partnership with S. Clyde Weaver, a pie sale and a school dance in the fall.

“The Fun Fest is a great way for kids to end the year and allows the PTO to earn money for other fun activities throughout the year,” said Allison Bacharach, a parent volunteer who is chairing the event. “It’s always nice to bring people together and have a fun day with other families.”

The Rohrerstown Elementary School PTO is always looking for more volunteers. For more information, contact respto@outlook.com.

50th anniversary

The Lancaster Brethren Preschool will conclude its 50th anniversary year with a celebration on Sunday, May 7, at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Ave. The church has invited current and former leaders, teachers, students and their families to participate.

The celebration will begin with a special Youth Sunday worship service at 10:15 a.m. in the Family Life Center. Middle school and high school youths will lead worship in a child-friendly service featuring children’s songs, a meditation by lead pastor Misty Wintsch and a time of celebrating 50 years of preschool ministry to the community.

Current preschool director Jessica Steinman and board chair Kathy Focht will honor founding director Lynne Shively, while also recognizing for-

mer teachers, board members and families. The service will be livestreamed on the church’s YouTube channel.

The service will end with the congregation singing “This Little Light of Mine” as preschool children light the way with glow sticks to an open house of the preschool facilities. A free finger food lunch also will be served.

Memories will be shared through a slideshow of historical photos before the service and during the mealtime, and additional photos will be on display during the open house.

Founded in fall 1972, the preschool offers classes from September to mid-May for children ages 2 to 5, two or three days a week. The church donates facilities and provides board leadership. Steinman is in her 15th year as director of the program.

on Oct. 1, 1893. During his life, one of the students he passed his knowledge to was his son, Grandmaster Ip Chun, who will celebrate his 99th birthday this July. New Lancaster resident Melanie Verdi, also known as Big Mamma, will present “An Evening of Jazz and Blues,” along with the Velvet Martinis, on Saturday, May 13, at the Mulberry Art Center, 21 N. Mulberry St., Lancaster. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the concert will begin at 7 p.m.

Verdi performs a catalog of rock, funk, jazz, pop and gospel favorites and has made her mark as a singer, guitarist, composer, lyricist, producer and entertainer.

Verdi has been sharing her gift of song since the age of 7 singing gospel music. A Baltimore native, she fell in love with Lancaster and all it offers when her husband, Tom DeGroot, whose family are life-long residents of Lancaster, showed her the town. She has immersed herself in the community by volunteering for such organizations

the Lancaster Wing Chun Association on April 15, 2022, to create a place where people can learn traditional Ip Man Kung Fu in a safe and supportive environment.

Wing Chun is one of the few martial art systems to be invented by a woman. It is designed for a smaller, weaker individual to overpower a larger, stronger opponent by effectively utilizing centerline theory, speed and power.

The center emphasizes creating a safe environment where Wing Chun theory and techniques can be learned and applied. The goal is for attendees to learn the mechanics of self-defense and how to de-escalate and even walk away from a conflict. Wing Chun emphasizes calmness and relaxation to avoid a fight as its highest priority. However, in the event that avoidance

and de-escalation strategies fail, participants also learn techniques for selfdefense to minimize personal injury.

The style has been learned by both males and females from a young age, but it continues to be practiced during peoples’ retirement years. The goals of current members include gaining confidence, practicing discipline, managing stress and anxiety, finding relaxation and calmness and acquiring the benefits of cardiovascular health, all in the context of making new friends.

To learn more, visit www.lancaster wingchun.com, call or text 717-2082258 or stop by the center at 246 Manor Ave., Millersville. Open enrollment for classes is currently underway. Both inperson and virtual training options are available, and a complimentary trial experience is offered.
