March 16. Shepherd’s Pie Takeout Dinner

1250 Furnace Road, Geigertown. The Hay Creek Valley Historical Association is offering a shepherd’s pie dinner for St. Patricks’ Day. The homemade dinner will include a 1.5-pound pan of shepherd’s pie, salad, bread and dessert. All dinners will be sold cold with heating instructions included. Berks Jazz Fest concerts slated
As part of Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest, the WCR Center for the Arts, 140 N. Fifth St., Reading, will host two concerts celebrating gifted jazz musicians who hail from Berks County. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to show time.

Grammy Award-winning guitarist David Cullen will release his first solo guitar recording in 15 years with “REVIVAL” during a concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March
26. CD’s will be available for purchase at the performance. The Hot Club of Reading will take the stage on Saturday, April 1, at 7 p.m. featuring guitarists Josh Taylor and Michael Nikolidakis; bassist Trey LaRue; Chris Heslop on sax, clarinet, and washboard; and jack-of-all-trades Ken Gehret. Annual bingo bonanza slated
The Woman’s Club of Birdsboro will hold its annual Bingo Bonanza on Sunday, March 12, at 12:30 p.m. at the Birdsboro Community Memorial Center, 201 E. Main St., Birdsboro. The event will feature 25 bingo games, door prizes, food, and more. Prizes will include gift cards, purses, and themed baskets. Doors will open at 11:15 a.m. Seating is limited.
