1.0 INTRODUCTION

Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman is a famous street where the shopping district is located. This area mainly sells fabric, carpet, jewellery and books. It is a place where culture and urban meets as there are a lot of preserved facades and historical spots around such as the Coliseum cafĂŠ, Coliseum theatre and the famous SOGO shopping mall. Embedded in the city is the lorong TAR where locals and tourists go to, the street market that showcases diverse kind of items from food to textile. Hence, the community library acts as centre that celebrates the culture , art and history of Jalan TAR. The library houses books for people of all walks of life and spaces where people can mingle and interact with each other or while waiting for their transit time.
