THE ASSASSINATION OF CHRIS KYLE “AMERICAN SNIPER” BY THE COWARD EDDIE RAY ROUTH AND THE MISGUIDED QUEST FOR FAME FROM KILLING A “GUNMAN” AND ITS LINK TO OBTAINING FAME FROM COMMITTING MASS KILLING Texas February 2013. A veteran and his friend take a young man they believe to be suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to the shooting range as a type of therapy. The alleged PTSD sufferer shoots both killing them. The veteran is Chris Kyle a former Navy Seal sniper who is credited with killing over one hundred of the enemy in the Iraqi war. Routh’s military record would show he never saw combat. Routh had been arrested for several misdemeanor offenses and had used his PTSD claim to influence police officers to give him a break in some cases. This is not the first time a misfit has killed a man proficient with weapons (a “gunman”). It is my opinion they do it to become famous and to bask in the notoriety. On a summer afternoon in

In the living room of a house in St. Joseph, Missouri a man removes his coat due to the heat. He then unbuckles a pistol belt with two holstered revolvers saying “I guess I’ll take off my pistols

for fear somebody will see them if I walk in the yard.” As he either attempts to straighten up or dust off a picture on the wall he is shot in the head from behind. Death is instantaneous. The date is April 2,1882. The murdered man was Jesse Woodson James another Civil War veteran who had survived being seriously wounded during the war. Jesse had become famous after the war for a series of bank and train robberies. His assassin was a then unknown person Bob Ford who was basically a “wannabe” who had become a member of Jesse’s gang. Another August but this time in El Paso, Texas a man is gambling with dice in the Acme Saloon. ONATELAUNEE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (UPI) - More than a dozen different police departments in a southeastern Pennsylvania county responded to a wedding brawl that grew violently out of control Monday night, according to reports. Police arrested seven people — including the groom — during the altercation in Ontelaunee Township, which reportedly began over a guest letting her 14-year-old son drink alcohol. Officers from Northern Berks Regional Police were the first on scene, but they called for rein-

forcements after guests, some shirtless and bloodied, threatened them. Police from 16 different departments across Berks County responded and attempted to control the crowd. Police say one guest was unfazed after an officer twice used a stun gun on him, and the groom, Nicholas Papoutsis, 31, reportedly challenged police to fight before being subdued and charged with disorderly conduct, interfering with the administration of law and public drunkenness. Emergency workers meanwhile treated his bride for alcohol poisoning and dehydration. The involved officers came from

departments in Fleetwood, Hamburg, Penn State, Berks County, Wyomissing, Bern, Spring, Tilden, Reading and Muhlenberg, among other locations. Four officers from Northern Berks Regional and Muhlenberg Township reportedly sustained minor injuries in the incident and received medical treatment at Reading Hospital. Police say the 14-year-old boy in question blew a .16 percent bloodalcohol content and told officers he drank two beers. Those blowing a .08 percent BAC are considered legally drunk in the state of Pennsylvania. The Reading Eagle quoted Northern Berks Regional

The car’s driver can be seen in the video working to hurriedly clear the small sheets of paper from the windshield so he can drive away while members of the public gawk, laugh and shout jeers at him. The spectators include a man who appears to be a traffic police officer. The man eventually rolls down the driver’s side window and speeds away, nearly getting into a collision while merging into traffic. HUNTVILLE, AL - Sure, kids can be demanding. What parent hasn’t had a child threaten to hold their breath unless they get the toy they want? But the teen in today’s story is having a tough time letting go of the apron strings. This Alabama teenager was arrested after authorities say he followed through on a bizarre threat to kill his mother’s chickens unless she mended the relationship between him and his girlfriend. Haden Smith, 18, was charged with domestic violence third degree and criminal mischief. Deputies say the situation started when Smith texted his mother, threatening to kill one of her chickens every 15 minutes until she contacted his girlfriend’s parents and attempted to mend their broken relationship. Although I don’t think this would be the first time Haden has choked the chicken. Deputies claim Smith gave his mother a deadline of noon before

he started to kill the chickens. They also say he threatened to burn his mother’s house down, kill any deputies that arrived on the scene, and kill himself. Odd that his girlfriend should have left him. He then began sending his mother picture messages of each chicken he killed at 15-minute intervals, killing six in total before he was arrested, deputies say. There’s no word on Smith’s current relationship status. A barbecue is scheduled for the day after tomorrow. BOGOTA (UPI) - Authorities in Colombia said a woman was arrested at an airport in the capital when her breast implants were found to contain 3.3 pounds of liquid cocaine. Authorities said Paola Deyanira Sabillon, 22, drew the attention of security staff at El Dorado International Airport when she appeared nervous in line and X-rays determined she had recently undergone surgery on her breasts. Sabillon, who is from Honduras and was preparing to fly to Spain, told investigators she received breast implants filled with an unknown substance she had been hired to transport. The implants were removed at a Bogota hospital and Sabillon was treated for an infection stemming from the original surgery, which is believed to have taken place at a clinic in Pereira, Colombia. The substance inside the implants was determined to be cocaine, authorities said. Sabillon was hospitalized for five days before being released into police custody.

ADELAIDE, Australia (UPI) - An Australian doctor has warned against the dangers of so-called “skinny jeans,” citing a patient who collapsed after a day of strenuous activity while wearing tight pants. Neurologist Thomas Kimber, of the Royal Adelaide Hospital, told the Australian Broadcasting Corp., on Tuesday that a 35-year-old woman from Adelaide was recently hospitalized after wearing skinny jeans. Kimber said the woman was helping a relative move and spent the day squatting to help them clean. “She noticed that her legs were becoming increasingly uncomfortable as the day went on [but] didn’t really think much of it,” Kimber said. The woman didn’t notice anything was wrong until she fell on the sidewalk and couldn’t get up again. “By this time it was dark and quite late at night and she was unable to stand up again, and really was there for some time before she could crawl to the side of the road, hail a cab and bring herself to the Royal Adelaide Hospital,” Kimber said. The woman’s legs were so swollen that hospital staff had to cut her jeans off of her body. She suffered severe muscle swelling and nerve compression and had to be treated with intravenous fluids. According to a Kimber’s report of the incident, which was published in the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, the patient suffered compartment syndrome — when increased pressure to body parts, particularly the leg or forearm, leads to muscle or nerve damage.

“We believe it was the combination of the squatting and tight jeans that caused the problem,” Kimber said in the report. The woman was unable to walk for several days but eventually made a full recovery. “The take home message I would like to leave people is if they are going to doing a lot of squatting ... wear something looser, with more elasticity perhaps,” he added. SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - They say Australians are tough. Even so, it seems a little extreme to go wandering around the streets punching babies in the face. But then, if you have to grow up in Australia you might as well get acclimated to it early. Maybe that was the motivation of a homeless man who unloaded a knuckle sandwich on a little girl’s face outside a cafe in Sydney. Police reported the 16month-old was in her baby stroller with her parents outside the cafe around 11:30 a.m. The homeless man approached the baby stroller and punched her in the face, apparently without reason or provocation. The man ran from the scene and the baby’s father ran after him while telling passersby to contact the police. Officers who arrived at the scene, caught the homeless man hiding inside a nearby building. The 28-year-old Nicholas Troy Bolas was arrested and charged with assault causing actual bodily harm. The baby suffered a small laceration to the face and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

The Trump Factor Lord knows I try. Honest. But no matter what Donald Trump is saying – be it in a televised interview or a prepared stump speech – eventually my eyes are drawn right back to… that hair. It happened again the other day. The Donald was trying to convince CNN’s Jake Tapper that his extensive experience in negotiating real estate deals has given him the ideal skill set for dealing with ISIS and other terrorists. Tapper wasn’t buying it and I doubt many viewers were either. It didn’t matter. We were all drawn to the most famous comb-over in modern times. How does it stay up there? Does he have a team of hairdressers to keep his

I ask myself Donald Trump as a serious candidate as soon as he announced his intentions to run for president. But then I thought about it for a bit. I still don’t think Trump will win the Republican nomination, but he could very well wind up having a significant impact on the campaign… …At the very least, Trump is the wild card in a very crowded deck of GOP presidential candidates. Of the 13 hopefuls who have announced (so far), The Donald is the only one who doesn’t really need to raise a bunch of money to giving a speech outdoors… on these things. Suffice it to say that Trump is far richer than the other Republican presidential primary candidates and begins his campaign with the kind of name recognition among voters that his rivals can’t even aspire to match… …As Trump’s comments on “negotiating with ISIS” made abundantly clear, he has absolutely no background in politics. I’m sure he’s owned (or rented) his share of politicians, but he’s never actually been one. But with both parties struggling to redefine themselves and the public trust of politicians at a historic low, perhaps Trump’s lack of experience will be perceived as a positive by a significant percentage of voters…

… As of right now, Trump is polling second to Jeb Bush in New Hampshire. If Bush and the other candidates aren’t taking him seriously yet, they should be. No one projects Donald Trump as the eventual GOP candidate for president. But it’s quite possible that he will gather up enough support to make his block of voters very valuable to one of the eventual front-runners. A Trump endorsement, given his disdain for Bush and the other hopefuls, would carry a lot of weight. Just picturing The Donald trying to say positive things about someone else while he has the cameras on himself requires a good bit of imagination. But, no matter what he says, we’ll all still be watching that hair…

There are also layers to the mindset of leverage. As you grow your team, you may think you have delegation mastered simply because you have a team. The next question to ask is, "Where else can leverage be found?" With leverage in mind, you create specific strategies that allow you to work efficiently, serve more people, and bring in more revenue. This is why leverage separates a mediocre business from a highly profitable one.

Automation is a high form of leverage. Consider exploring how manual processes could be automated. Remember to check out open source software or apps that just may be the ticket to a cost-effective solution.

Consider these three questions to start leveraging your business today:

2. What can be automated?

3. What can be systematized? If you have a regular meeting, it may be easier to systematize it. One of my clients realized that she could easily save approximately three hours combined team time each month simply by systematizing one of the employee meetings to the first Thursday of each month. After all, who might know more about bourbon, rye and other distilled spirits than a veteran hard rockin’ band? “The Devil You Know” is the latest high-end bourbon carrying the Anthrax seal of approval and follows last year’s “Indians.” The new adult beverage comes into this world via an alliance between the band and distiller Knob Creek.

…The Japanese Diet has finally relaxed a law that has affected Japan’s local music industry for decades. An entertainment business ordinance passed shortly after World War II prohibited dancing in nightclubs after midnight. The original reasoning behind the rule was to curb prostitution, as at the time the law was passed nightclubs were the main venue for prostitutes to meet customers. For the better part of the last five decades police did not enforce it regularly. But following the death of a student during a fight at an Osaka club in 2010,

police started cracking down on clubs and fining them for staying open and allowing dancing, a move that dampened night life in Osaka and Tokyo considerably. Some were even forced to close. The music industry has since lobbied heatedly against the law, and politicians have been slow to respond. But last week, lawmakers in the Upper House of Japan’s parliament voted to relax the law as part of a series of measures designed to create more business opportunity before the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. The revision will not go into full effect until next summer, but it will permit dancing in licensed clubs after midnight. There are conditions, however. Dancing is allowed only in clubs with at least 10 lux of lighting, which is about twilight illumination. The police have told local media that they will continue “monitoring” nightclubs to make sure the proper lighting level is maintained.

Morrissey Lives Up to His Eclectic Past What’s in a name? Seriously, when you think about it, what exact emotions are stirred up inside you when a particular name is mentioned? When it comes to the music business – depending on what part of the world you live in – the utterance of a single word can either lift you up or let you down. That was particularly evident when Morrissey decided to make his presence known at the Atlanta Symphony Hall before a packed house that lived and breathed every word he sang or said.

Steven Patrick Morrissey is one of those artists you should check off your musical bucket list just to see what all the hype is about. I’ve always suspect of an artist when the British press literally falls all over itself to wax philosophically about how important he has been to the English music scene while completely ignoring the importance of other English acts like Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues or the Beatles. According to critics, these acts contribution to music pales in comparison to Morrissey. Their love affair with the singer is absolute. Why you ask? Basically, if it wasn’t for Morrissey lyrical insights with both The Smiths and his solo career, then the world wouldn’t have been subjected to the Brit pop invasion of the ‘90s that brought forth – yawn please – Blur, Suede, Pulp and the battling Gallagher brothers in Oasis. These bands may have defined a decade of music in Britain, but in the U.S., did anybody really care?

Of all the venues in Atlanta for this British musical icon to perform in, a symphony hall would be the last place you’d expect to see this controversial figure. Then again, this English import has been doing things his way for decades, so why should his appearance in this magnificent hall be any different. It certainly didn’t bother the throngs of “Moz” fans who probably never stepped foot in a place this beautiLet’s face facts here. This country ful to watch a concert. has never really gone bananas

CHRIIS EASON PHOTOGRAPHY over Morrissey. Outside of his solo 1990 solo album, Bona Drag, which launched the singer’s career in this country, there has never been much this artist’s music to go ga-ga over. Though the release and subsequent success of Bona Drag in this country allowed Morrissey to tour arenas in the U.S., it was his last hurrah. Instead of letting the he was occupying. It wasn’t. This British press turn on him as they 90-minute concert was a hit and are always want to do, he quietly miss affair all evening long. The slipped away from the music scene singer did manage to hit the right to wait it out. He returned after his notes with songs like “Now My hiatus in triumphant form with You Heart is Full” and “Every Day is Are the Quarry. Two songs from Like Sunday”. However, the fact he that album, “The World is Full of chose to omit the only chart suc- Crashing Bores” and the evening’s cess he or The Smiths ever had in first encore song “First of the Gang this country, “The More You Ignore to Die” made the cut this evening. Me, the Closer I Get” was baffling. I’m not a Morrissey purist by any means. I’m sure the majority of the people in tonight’s crowd breathlessly awaited every note coming out of their hero’s mouth. The thing is, with health issues persistently dogging Morrissey the past few years, and his concert tours always an uncertain event, it would be nice to fondly remember his live performances for the rich, memorable music of his past rather than cringe at certain visuals that made you want to vomit. Throughout his career, Morrissey

deep cuts. I’ve always been amazed at the set list an artist will come up with when they tour a part of the world that isn’t as enthralled with them as their native country is. The show started out promising with “Suedehead” but digressed from there with five of the next eights cuts coming from last year’s World Peace is None of Your Business. Yes, “Speedway” and “Ganglord” where pleasant diversions, but here’s the point of my gripe. Morrissey isn’t a household name and never has been so why not give the crowd what they want – something familiar to cheer about. The 56-year old singer was crowned a ‘legend’ because of his lyrics and voice, not because he is

a musical virtuoso. The four albums released by The Smiths from 1984 thru 1987 were just as much guitarist Johnny Marr’s creation as they were Morrissey’s. His two solo albums to finish the decade sealed his ‘legend status’ as far as the finicky and sniping British music press was concerned. But fame is fleeting, particularly in the U.S., and the infamous Brit pop bands Morrissey’s past inspired, barely registered in this country. That’s why it just didn’t make any sense for tonight’s 22-song set list to be top heavy with songs from his album release almost a year ago. The accompanying visuals on several of the songs were fine in several places and disturbing in others. The “Meat is Murder” video was about as gruesome as you could get. And yes, the vegetarian ENIGMA

I was hoping Morrissey would end the show with the hauntingly beautiful “How Soon is Now?” from The Smiths 1985 release Meat is Murder, but like other stellar cuts in the singers repertoire, it just wasn’t meant to be. Instead, the sold-out crowd was treated to a non-descript cut from the same album, “What She Said”, and bid a fond adieu. He’d been better off crooning “Moon River.”
