Dato’ Johan is the Chairman of Mitraland Group, having bought into the company in 2009.
With over 30 years in the industry, he has extensive experience and exposure in banking, insurance, and real estate development.
CHUAH THEONG YEE
He has previously worked with Citibank, served on the boards of Maybank, Etiqa, and helmed several property development companies in the country, including serving the nation during the Asian Financial Crisis as Head of Property at Danaharta.

Chuah is the founder of Mitraland Group and currently the Deputy Executive Chairman.
In 1992, he joined the construction industry upon graduating from the University of Malaya with a degree in civil engineering, serving as Project Engineer until 1995. Subsequently, he ventured into property management, and in 1998, established his own property development company, Mitraland Group.
The company’s direction was clear from the get-go; Mitraland stood out as a small yet enterprising developer whose projects consistently maintain an early delivery schedule without compromising on quality.

With over 30 years of experience in property development and construction-related businesses, Teo has been a member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia since 1995, and registered with the Board of Engineers as a Professional Engineer since 1996.

Tan, a civil engineer by profession who also holds an MBA (Finance) from the University of Nottingham, started in the company in 2010 and has completed eight projects totalling a GDV of more than RM2.8 billion.

General Manager, Sales & Marketing
Holding a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying from University of Portsmouth, UK and a Master of Science in Construction Contract Management, Yan started her tenure with Mitraland in 2003 as a Quantity Surveyor.
Over the years, Yan began leading a team within the Contract Department, overseeing and monitoring budgets for million-dollar projects and to ensure timely delivery of developments.
In Nov 2021, Yan was given the opportunity to lead the Sales & Marketing division, one that she gladly took on. With her extensive background in QS and Project development, she is proving to be an all-rounder and intends to bring about positive changes within the Sales & Marketing team.

YU FUNG
General Manager, Project Development
Yong started his journey with Mitraland in 2016 as a Project Manager with more than 15 years of experience in construction industry as Main Contractor, C&S Consultant, Property & Project Management.
Yong holds a Bachelor Degree in Construction Management
with First Class Honours from University Tunku Abdul Rahman, Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Tasmania, Australia and Master of Sciences (MSc) of Project Management from University Tunku Abdul Rahman.
He is a Certified Project Management Professional
(PMP) under Project Management Institute (PMI), USA. Yong manages the Project Department and is handling several on-going projects with an estimated GDV of RM1.6 billion.

Deputy General Manager, Project & Contract
Ray earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying from University Tunku Abdul Rahman. He joined Mitraland in 2009 as a Junior Quantity Surveyor and advanced to lead the contract department
His expertise in budget control and value engineering
has been crucial in ensuring the profitability of billiondollar projects and timely delivery of developments.
In recognition of his contributions, he received Star Awards in 2012 and 2022, as well as a Leadership Award in 2023.
LUA BOON ANN
Deputy General Manager, Corporate Finance
Mr. Lua, a chartered certified accountant with ACCA fellowship and MIA membership, holds a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honour) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK. With over 15 years of financial expertise in areas such as corporate finance, investor relations, audit, and treasury, he started his career at BDO and Ernst & Young in audit
services. Later, he transitioned to the corporate finance and investor relations role in prominent property developer and construction companies listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia. He also gained international financial experience by leading the investor relations department of a construction and renewable energy company listed on the Hong Kong Exchange.
In the same year, he was promoted to Deputy General Manager of the Project and Contract Department, a key position that will enable him to drive the success of future projects.
Currently, Lua serves as the Deputy General Manager, Corporate Finance at Mitraland. In this role, he is involved in corporate matters and oversees the group's treasury function, ensuring sustainable cash flow and effective management of financial and credit risks.
