The Cyber Security/Information Assurance program prepares students to work in areas related to information assurance, network and computer security. The program also contains material designed for students currently working in the computer industry and students advanced in computer knowledge who require specific knowledge of information and network-related risks and their avoidance and resolution. Major employers include computer and data processing companies; wholesale and retail trade companies; universities and colleges; medical, insurance and utility companies; and federal, state and local government agencies. Degree Options The Associate of Applied Science degree in Cyber Security/Information Assurance will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary for career entry or advancement in a current job. The program content is 30 percent general education and 70 percent professional/technical education, providing in-depth conceptual and professional/technical skills.

The Human Services program is an interdisciplinary, competencybased program. The program offers students the opportunity to become a Human Services worker with degrees and certifications including the Associate of Science degree and the Associate of Applied Science degree. Program objectives include training the entry-level worker as well as providing development and enhancement of skills for those currently in the field. Throughout the program students examine their values and attitudes which reflect in their interactions with others. All students are trained in ethical and theoretical principles, practical skills and experience the profession through internship placement. In addition to general skills, specialty training allows a student to explore working with a population such as youth, the elderly, those with intellectual disability or those struggling with addiction.

The HVAC program at Ivy Tech Community College provides an opportunity for students to gain the skills necessary to enter the field of heating, cooling and refrigeration. Medical Assistants are multi-skilled health professionals specifically educated to work in ambulatory settings performing administrative and clinical duties. The practice of medical assisting directly influences the public’s health and well-being, and requires mastery of a complex body of knowledge and specialized skills requiring both formal education and practical experience that serve as standards for entry into the profession. The Medical Assisting program is a selective program (varies by campus). When you apply to the college, you will be accepted into the undeclared program while you complete the prerequisite requirements. The Medical Assisting program accepts a limited number of students each year and there is a separate application process.

The Paralegal Studies program at Ivy Tech Community College strives to accelerate greatness and excellence in its curriculum. To achieve such a standard, the Program provides knowledge in many substantive areas of law and engages the students in an environment where they receive practical skills. The overall program goal is to give the students the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful as entry-level paralegals, working under the supervision of lawyers, or successful transfer to a four year institution.
