It is always hard to predict what a new business will be like in 5 or 10 years, so we had to make sure that we were set up with the right strategy for success. Mr. M. Murthy Rao and Mr. M. Suresh: If there is one thing we wish we'd done better as a business, it was to have a solid strategy in place for growing the business. We should have taken more time to cultivate relationships with customers to continue to refer us to work. Quitting was not an option for us because we loved what we were doing too much, but we would have liked to have had a more concrete plan in place so that if it did come time to make a change, we would have been ready – and our customers would be too. Mr. M. Murthy Rao: We believe that for us to betruly revolutionary, we must take risks. We must innovate. It is only by maintaining a strong sense of innovation that we can bring about change and improve the lives of our customers. Mr. M. Murthy Rao: is is a challenging question to answer. I love to do many things in my spare time. It could be a Net ix marathon, or it might be exploring the city I live in. But when I'm not at work, all my downtime is spent on thinking about work and ways to make your company better. I found that three things make me happy: being creative, e cient, and feeling like others appreciate my creativity. As a leader, Mr. M. Murthy Rao: One of the most important decisions that I must take is determining how to hire best and develop talent. To nd the right people to hire and reward them for success, you also need to manage the expectations that both you and your employees have for performance. While there are many factors to consider, such as cost structure, future growth and development, and the type of marketplace and organization operating within, there are some key challenges.

Mr. M. Suresh: e solution to creative thinking is not a single answer. Creative thinking is a mindset and requires tools and strategies. A few simple things within our organization have helped us come a long way in encouraging creative thinking from our team members, such as carefully planning for lunchtime meetings, even if they seem like a waste of time at rst. Which one thing do you wish you'd done differently/ what style did you adopt ? One thing that we have successfully accomplished and are proud of is that we have created a powerful network. is is our biggest asset. Second, is our marketing strategy, where rather than

investing in social media advertising we have increased the public pro le that helped us to increase our network. We have preferred to be members of various reputed organizations such as the PHD Chamber of Commerce, CII, Bhopal Management Association, TiE, and a lot more. Getting associated with such trustworthy organizations helped us to increase our customer base.

What have been the biggest challenges you've had to overcome ? e major challenges that I faced in the initial days were financial resources and human resources. Convincing people to trust us and join us was not easy. Brushing up my leadership qualities helped me to attract good human resources that eventually led to the capital in ow. Another major challenge was employee retention. Majorly employees a er spending a certain time with the company learning how the business works, either move to parent companies or becomes a competitor by starting their own business. So, again improving my leadership quality and developing an employeedriven company helped me as we have employees with us for more than 15 years. ey have now ESOPs in the company.

What does revolution mean to you and what changes Vision Invest Tech Pvt Ltd. Has brought into the market ? e word Revolution comes from the Latin word revolutio, which means "a turnaround." And if we talk about Bhopal business industry Vision Invest Tech Pvt Ltd. Visioninvesttech.com) has been successful in bringing a fundamental and relatively sudden change in the entrepreneurial domain. And this we have achieved by embracing the latest market changes. We have always been very adaptive in mastering our skills with the latest technology and latest methods that came into the market with time. A diversified business venture has been the key to us. We have always aimed to raise the business standards of Bhopal and MP. Being a Bhopalite, I wanted to develop organized nancial services in Bhopal and MP. We are the pioneers in providing hospital management services to 50 hospitals. I believe together we can create a notable change, that is why to encourage the entrepreneurs and to help them build successful businesses we founded VASPL Initiatives which is a start-up incubation centre in 2017. Embracing digitization, adopting the new edge changes, and giving back to society has made us the ecosystem contributor. How has the industry changed over the years ? Technology enhancement in the form of Digitization has been the biggest change and challenge at the same time. Digitization has brought a radical change in the industry. Many organizations that could cope up with this sudden and rapid changes have survived, rest got demolished with time. So, adapting to this change of digitization is vital.

Tell us about the client base. We are into 5 businesses. First the investment services where we cater to nearly 30000 retail-based business owners from di erent parts of Madhya Pradesh. In hospital service, we are serving the district and government hospitals of Madhya Pradesh where we are catering to 30000 to 40000 patients per day. In our incubation services, we have mentored and funded nine start-ups till now. In business network we are empowering entrepreneurship. With Venture Catalysts, we are the regional partner where we are creating a local investor group (Angel investor group) where they can invest in start-up's and multiply their investment.

When it comes to the company, what are you most proud of ?

Basically, decentralizing the power for creating a collaborative management model.

How do you encourage creative thinking within your organization ?

My journey can inspire a lot. I say, if I can anybody can. 16 years back when I started my journey as a post o ce / LIC agent and the best part is that with time our business has grown horizontally. By saying horizontal growth, we mean that we have successfully created and established our footprints in several industries. Being chairman of 6 associations, members of several educational boards and colleges we have been able to develop a huge network and this is our biggest asset. What do you see as the most difficult task in being in your Industry ? Adopting the latest changes that come into the market and be a pro that is the most challenging and di cult task. Every 2-3 years there are new strategies coming into the market, and those who can adopt these changes survive rest gets perished with time. What do you do when you are not at work ? Business is always in my mind even when I am o the track. It has been a part of my existence, I breathe, I live, I dream and I survive through my business. I always stay relaxed and I am never over-burdened and thanks to the wonderful team that I have who always comes forward and takes ownership of this business. I say it's not me it's them who own the business. All of my ventures are employee-driven. Whatever decision they take, I trust them and allow it to imply, and the rest of the ownership is theirs. Rest I always made it a ritual to spend quality time with my family and kids and dedicate some time to reading books. What are the most important decisions you make as a leader of your organization ? Making a comeback whenever there was a nancial setback was one of the most important decisions I have taken till now. Another one is empowering the employees within the organization so that they can take ownership and sail the ship forward.

The biggest challenges faced and how you overcame those Funding has always been a major challenge for us. We see our two food brands as a complementary pairing that can grow o each other s strengths, but many investors in the past have been turned away by the fact that they occupy very di erent categories and markets. e result is that we have had to run our operations on a shoe-string budget and have o en battled with the dichotomy between pursuing an optimal strategy versus rolling out what we could a ord.

Tell us about the client base. We sell to professionally organized distributors who can meet our ethical standards and share our enthusiasm for streamlining operations using the technology available. rough a vast network of distributors and wholesalers, we have been able to scale our business into over 10 states in India and 5 countries overseas. In terms of our end consumer, we nd a natural t with young urban professionals - our products stand by the highest safety standards and we refuse to compromise on quality to lower our price to the market. We, therefore, look for a discerning customer who can understand the di erences in quality and can make informed decisions.

What do you do when you are not at work ? I compete in triathlons and train hard for these events. In my spare time, I nd junkyard bicycles and restore them, really just as a hobby. I am a passionate cook and experiment in the kitchen every single day, using my family as my guinea pigs. I love adventure travel and have spent my younger years backpacking and sleeping rough across Europe, North Africa, and Central Asia What are the most important decisions you make as a leader of your organization ? Sometimes the most important decisions are some of the smallest decisions that almost go unnoticed but that leave lasting impressions on the people you work with. I make sure that the actions I take day in and day out re ect the values upon which we have built our organization. Every decision is a re ection of who you are as a leader and this matters to people in the company as well as the wider community that you rely on for running the business.

One thing that you wish you’d done differently

How do you encourage creative thinking within your organization ?

If we were to start from scratch, I would prioritize fundraising and bringing in investors earlier in our journey rather than trying to do everything on our own. Investors not only bring in capital, but also experience and expertise that can complement the skills that the founders bring to the table.

I try where possible to empower our team members to make decisions for themselves. O en creative thinking is not about carrying out a particular task but about knowing that you can be creative and giving people the freedom to create.

How has the industry changed over the years ? e Indian food industry has blossomed in the last 10 years. Manufacturing units have improved dramatically and reached international safety standards thanks to the introduction of a more codi ed FSSAI system. e result here is that Indian-produced products are now able to compete for shelf space on a global scale in a way that wasn t practical previously. e adoption of online grocery purchases has made it easier than ever for small brands to get noticed amongst the larger and more traditional FMCG giants that still dominate Indias retail markets.

When it comes to the company, what are you most proud of ? Over the years we have built a loyal and passionate team, who have stood by us during some extremely challenging times, most recently during the pandemic. Our vision and dreams as founders would have remained on paper if it were not for the hard work and consistent enthusiasm that has been put in by every one of our team members. What do you see as the most difficult task in being in your Industry ? We compete against billion-dollar brands that have built their reputations over more than a century. It is very di cult to shi that kind of brand loyalty without pouring crores into large-scale marketing campaigns. But that has never been our ethos. and I have always believed that a good product presented to the right audience compellingly will nd a way to become a pro table business over time.

What are some of your future endeavours ? We will expand our footprint in India to cover all the major metros and begin our expansion into Tier 2 and 3 cities. Our North American operations continue to expand rapidly and we hope to be a dominant household brand globally in the next 5 years. Our brands are inherently global, and so is our vision.
