WHAT HAVE BEEN THE BIGGEST CHALLENGES YOU'VE HAD TO OVERCOME ? ere are several risks and advantages associated with owning and operating a business. As a corporation, we made investments in some unrelated businesses that failed but the investments we made in our Recruitment businesses are currently doing well. Even though we were lled with enthusiasm for our investments, we lacked business acumen and understanding. We also didn't perform enough due diligence, and we took up all the opportunities that presented themselves to us. We were learning as we went along and attempting to run numerous businesses at the same time was a challenge. Nevertheless, we gained a lot of knowledge from our mistakes, and we also had a lot of fun establishing and running those businesses. In these dynamic market conditions, by the time you learn a technology, another new technology or a new version comes up and as IT Recruiters, if we don't keep abreast with technology, we will be outdated. It has been a good challenge to have, to get our teams to learn new technologies on a regular basis. Also, as the organization grows, its leaders must learn various traits of team management. So, in order to continue to grow and be successful, we have implemented a rigorous training regime for all our employees, not just for Technical skills, but for So skills as well.
WHICH ONE THING DO YOU WISH YOU'D DONE DIFFERENTLY/ WHAT STYLE DID YOU ADOPT ? e year 2014 was, in my opinion, one of the most di cult. Even though we ourselves are a tangible recruitment rm, we made some terrible hiring and investment decisions, spent a lot of money and tried to do too many things at the same time. Our inability to maintain a strategic focus at that time, I believe, was the root cause of our failure. If I had the opportunity to go back in time, I would most likely reassess our 2014 hiring and investment decisions, as well as our overall strategy. It is never a good idea to invest or hire in haste. It is possible that circumstances will force you to do something that appears to be right, and as a result, you may nd yourself making hasty and impulsive decisions. Don't allow yourself to be drawn into such situations. If I had been able to correct it, we might have experienced a tenfold growth in our business by now.
HOW HAS THE INDUSTRY CHANGED OVER THE YEARS ? e recruitment sector has gone through several ups-and-downs in India, the United Kingdom, and other countries. Whether it's the Great Recession of 2008, the recent Brexit, or the implementation of IR35 rules. However, to our amazement, the second wave of COVID sparked a signi cant increase in the recruitment industry's overall momentum and productivity. at it has happened is unquestionably related to the rise of digital transformation and the introduction of process automation. Our company has experienced an amazing growth in the recent years. e recruitment industry has become increasingly competitive, and agencies that do not adapt will nd themselves out of business soon. e way business is conducted has undergone a signi cant transformation. e contracting market in India is expanding in a positive direction. e online portal has made clients aware of the routing and pricing. To overcome this situation, WTTS has started our very own corporate travel portal, which is linked to all the major global online portals. We have also adopted a xed service charge for all bookings made online, o ine, or through various electronic applications which is very minimal and acceptable to our clients.
We are one among the few TMCs who operated and supported corporate companies all through the COVID19 pandemic season of almost two years. We operated hundreds of repatriation charter ights to various destinations in India, Nepal, Bangkok, Istanbul, Dhaka, Philippines, etc. in order to transport stranded citizens to their homeland.
Having a huge client base of 750+ corporates and having business operations throughout the year, sometimes it becomes a challenge to revert to all the clients in the stipulated time as well as to ensure quality work with no change on the service level provided. We have overcome the challenge by recruiting well-experienced sta who dedicate their working time to the needs of our clients. With over 100 sta recruited we ensure the companies are assigned accordingly to ensure no sta is overburdened and all the companies assigned receive their quotations appropriately. WHAT DO YOU SEE AS THE MOST DIFFICULT TASK IN BEING IN YOUR INDUSTRY ? A couple of recent surveys carried out by di erent Agencies have revealed 'economic uncertainty as the biggest challenge currently facing the travel industry. is was closely followed by issues surrounding 'sustainable travel' and 'climate change, highlighting these as key challenges.

Survival during the COVID19 pandemic season supporting our various corporate clients, operating repatriation charter ights, and retaining the entire workforce was the biggest challenge to overcome, which we did to the utmost satisfaction of one and all. WHICH ONE THING DO YOU WISH YOU'D DONE DIFFERENTLY ? Speaking of doing things di erently, during the covid pandemic we wish we could have started a system that regulates all the Travel companies in Kuwait, to ensure that pricing and repatriation were done smoothly and equally to all the expatriates who availed these services. Since the system was not implemented, WTTS planned and executed nearly 100+ repatriation ights to ensure all passengers availing of our service were treated and billed equally.

What have been the biggest challenges you've had to overcome ?
How has the industry changed over the years ? e speed with which technology is changing right now is amazing. We have seen a lot of changes in the DW and BI industry recently. e industry has matured a lot and there is an increased awareness amongst customers of all sizes about the value a BI can bring into their decision making. Earlier only traditional RDBMS kind of data was supported in the BI tools, but now all kinds of data can be pushed into and analyzed with the BI product.
One of the biggest challenges has been in terms of hiring and retaining. Even though India adds a lot of new engineers to the talent pool but most of them are lacking in skill sets. It is always very di cult to nd a good resource. e second problem which we had faced was with the product Helical Insight. Being a new product, we did not have a lot of track records or references, etc. to show. Hence it was always di cult to convince new customers during the initial phases. What does revolution mean to you ? Revolution means anything which is just not an incremental change but an exponential change. Anything which can disrupt an industry, anything which can change the entire habit of users.

Also, one of the major changes in the evolution of the BI space has been the adoption and usage of self-service BI tools. With the evolution and maturing of self-service drag-drop BI tools like Helical Insight, it's now possible for even non-technical business users to create their analysis as well as a dashboard with minimal e orts.

How do you encourage creative thinking within your organization ? We as a company are always open to new ideas and innovations. We discuss issues with the team, set them free to come up with new ideas and inputs. Based on the best probable solution, we allow the person or team to work on the same and reward accordingly.
We have served diverse domains like telecom, banking, education, supply chain, clinical trials, energy, analytics, security, vertical ERPs, call center, and many more. Some of the biggest names include clients like CA Technologies, Tata Communications, Fractal Analytics, Technip, etc. We even have worked with the government, like the Government of Marshall Islands, the Government of Kiribati Islands, and other SMEs.
What are some of your future endeavors ? We have a lot of things which we have planned for our product as well as services. On the product side, we are very aggressively working on a major version release i.e. version 5.0 of our product which is having a lot of UX and functionality improvement on our product and other futuristic including a UI-driven work ow engine. We are planning to raise funding in the next two quarters and also planning for o shore o ces as well as have regional partners in non-native English-speaking countries for more outreach to clients.
When it comes to our services o erings we cater to US, Canada .and European customers. For product o erings, we have worldwide customers including the USA, India, Middle East, Australia, Israel, Malaysia, Indonesia, South America, etc. When it comes to the company, what are you most proud of ? e one thing which we have been extremely proud of was being able to make the transition from being a service-based company to developing the product, despite being bootstrapped. Having provided services we have been able to generate good pro t a part of which was being used to sustain the development of our product. Also, the services provided immense learning of the issues of existing products and client expectations.
What is the best advice you can give to our readers ? Set of advice to young entrepreneurs who do have a plan to start something of their own. ere has never been a better time to do a startup. Don t be afraid of multiple failures, all you need is just one success. Have perseverance. ere is no overnight success. Identify the gaps in the market and try to ful ll that gap. Try to solve a genuine issue.
What do you see as the most difficult task in being in your Industry ? e challenges are mostly for hiring and retaining good talents. e second problem is in terms of a new product it is always di cult to convince prospects of trying and using it as compared to the established players in the market.

From an industry standpoint, penetrating the Middle East has been a very exciting journey but not without its challenges. Unlike more mature nancial hubs like New York, London and Singapore, Dubai has only recently grown into a global nancial center, and this took many years of working diligently with local licensing authorities and regulators to help develop the nancial services landscape to what it has become today. From an investor standpoint, the responsibility of educating clients in the region about markets and navigating them through the associated risks of market volatility remains a key focus for our group. Re ecting on the past 15 years, although the region has come a long way, investor awareness and nancial education continues to be a key focus for us.
Being a part of the nancial services industry, and as a by-product of my role, I process a lot of data and consume a lot of research covering a wide gamut of asset classes. Perhaps the one thing I would have done di erently was to start my journey as an investor at an earlier stage of my career. Compounding returns on one's portfolio works the earlier you start, and I am a big proponent of this strategy. Oh, and I probably would have held on to my Bitcoin back in 20017.

My entrepreneurship journey has been a challenge throughout. Starting from scratch a er leaving a well-settled job was not easy. A er leaving my job in 2014 rst 2 years were the freelancing phase. It was 2018 when the rm got o cially established and since then we never looked back. e pandemic situation also taught us the harsh reality and the way to survive such a situation. ere are still a lot of things to learn. Like any child that undergoes initial teething problems, this child too had to go through the same. Some bad decisions led to crucial nancial losses for the company. WHAT HAVE BEEN THE BIGGEST CHALLENGES YOU'VE HAD TO OVERCOME ? e biggest challenge is to work as per our clients' expectations amidst the very dynamic digital environment and the ever-changing Google algorithm. e last two years of the pandemic have added challenges due to the changing market scenarios outside. But challenges are an opportunity to us, so we have concentrated on improving ourselves in the process while also meeting client expectations.
WHICH ONE THING HAVE YOU DONE DIFFERENTLY ? One thing which we have done di erently is having a dedicated division that looks a er R&D, not many organizations do that. We have to be alert if Google changes any algorithm as it is one of the platforms integral to our work and of course, it is one of the biggest platforms. Our continuous R&D work helps us understand what these changes are, and allows us to experiment with di erent things that can keep our clients a step ahead. We also ensure that contact learning happens across the organization through our R&D department, and I believe this is something that we do di erently, as compared to other agencies out there. ere are agencies whose style of execution is di erent - where their put the product/website live and then start the observation; whereas at Rank My Business, we believe in research and experimenting everything before implementing any solutions for our clients.
