THE ETS STORY In 1974 a young pastor fulfilled his dream of visiting the Holy Land. When he returned home, he discovered the trip made a profound impact on the way he studied the Bible and preached. The words went from black and white to brilliant color. The following year, the pastor returned to Israel with a group from his church. He was amazed by the transformation he saw. Everyone returned home invigorated. They became the cornerstones of the church - volunteering more, tithing regularly and creating a welcoming community for all. It was out of this experience that ETS was born. The young pastor, Dr. Jim Ridgway, began ETS out of his garage with the goal of making it possible for all clergy to visit the lands of the Bible. Dr. Ridgway is no longer with us, but his vision is continuing to flourish. To date, tens of thousands of faith leaders have realized the positive impact Faith-Based travel has on their church, their ministry and the lives of individuals who travel with them. Journeys of Paul GUEST SPEAKER Justin Lindstrom The Very Reverend Justin Lindstrom is the Dean of St. Paul's Cathedral in Oklahoma City and President of the Board of the Oklahoma Conference of Churches. He has been a priest for 18 years and is a gifted pastor, community leader and dynamic preacher and teacher. Justin is married to Susan. They have 2 children and love to travel. He taught at Texas Lutheran University for eighteen years as a professor of theology, winning awards for excellence in teaching. His primary research interest revolves around performing large sections of Scriptures by heart. He has performed the Gospel of Mark in the United States, Latin America, and Europe. He is the author of The Word of the Cross in a World of Glory and coeditor of a volume entitled, The Bible in Ancient and Modern Media.

A walking tour along the town’s cobblestone streets followed by a visit to the magnificent Benedictine Abbey at Melk, you may join a hike up to the fortress where Richard the Lionheart was once held for ransom, or enjoy an Apricots and Sweets tasting instead. Day 9 - Vienna This morning, see romantic Vienna through your choice of one of three excursions. A panoramic tour of Vienna past the majestic Opera House, the former Imperial Palace of the Habsburg Emperors, Parliament, Town Hall and Vienna University and a visit to Vienna’s historic city center, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Graben and the Spanish Riding School.
