AGRI COMMODITY DAILY WRAP UP‌..!!!!

RMSEED FUTURE RMseed ended the weak on firm note due to news that cold weather might damage the productivity of the new crop in the field. The affect might not be significant as the average is still on the higher side compared to last year. Indian farmers had sowed rapeseed on 6.65 million hectares as of Dec.12, up 4.6 percent a year earlier.

CORIANDER FUTURE Coriander futures extended uptrend as spot prices increased on robust demand amid limited supplies in the physical market. The prospects of lower production due to lesser acreage this season could support market sentiment.

JEERA FUTURE Weather concerns in growing state of Gujarat kept trend slight firm for Jeera last week even as no strong demand emerged in the mandis. Rains at this stage could affect the standing crop adversely leading to damage.

However trading activities remained low but are expected to pick up after the New Year Holidays. Market reports do indicate however prices likely to find some strong support at these low levels. With sowing reportedly proper in the growing states of Gujarat and Rajasthan and cool weather being good for the crop growth, the uptrend may be limited.
