Born: September 14, 1958 Residence: Moorpark, California Rafalca – 1997 Oldenburg mare owned by Ann Romney, Beth Meyers, and Amy Ebeling
Jan Ebeling and his well-known partner Rafalca became a team when the mare moved to Ebeling’s stable in 2006. Competing later that year at the USEF Festival of Champions in Gladstone, New Jersey, Ebeling and Rafalca finished third in the National Intermediaire I Championship. In the fall of 2007, Ebeling was awarded a USEF training grant and made the decision to train in Germany, taking his three horses. Ebeling’s string was successful there; proving European experience is invaluable to U.S. dressage competitors. In 2007, Ebeling and Rafalca debuted in the Grand Prix arena during the FEI World Cup Final in Las Vegas where they performed a Grand Prix Exhibition Test in front of a full house prior to the actual competition. After receiving a standing ovation for their performance, Ebeling realized that Rafalca had the talent to become an international Grand Prix horse. The pair had top finishes on their way to the FEI World Cup Final in 2009,

The pair entered the 2011 Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Final after having won both the Grand Prix and the Freestyle at The Festival of the Horse CDI-W in Burbank, California during the first weekend in April. At the 2011 Reem Acra/FEI World Cup Dressage Final, Ebeling and Rafalca were the top-placing Americans in both the Grand Prix Test and the Freestyle. Ebeling started off 2012 by winning the Grand Prix Special at Dressage Getaway Inc. At the Mid-Winter Dressage Festival, the pair was first in the Freestyle and second in the Grand Prix Test. Ebeling and Rafalca finished second in both the Grand Prix for Freestyle and the $5,000 FEI Rancho Valencia Grand Prix Freestyle. The pair went on to represent the U.S. at the Reem Acra/FEI World Cup Finals, where they finished 17th in the Grand Prix Test and 15th in the Grand Prix Freestyle. Ebeling and Rafalca continued to impress at the 2012 USEF Dressage Festival of Champions and Selection Trials for the U.S. Dressage Team in June when they finished in third place in the Grand Prix National Championship. Ebeling and Rafalca represented the United States at the 2012 London Olympic Games later that summer. Ebeling began 2013 by winning a Prix St. Georges class at the Mid-Winter Dressage Fair with Donatello. He then won a Prix St. Georges class with Breitan at The Dressage Affaire. At The Festival of the Horse, Ebeling and Rafalca won the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle classes. Tina Konyot

Born: September 12, 1961 Residence: Palm City, Florida Calecto V – 1998 Danish Warmblood stallion owned by Tina Konyot
For Tina Konyot, horses are truly second nature. Her family spans five generations of horsemanship and circus ring performance. Konyot’s grandfather, Arthur Konyot, occupied center ring in the acclaimed Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. He then trained horses owned by numerous celebrities and was inducted into the Circus Hall of Fame in 1974. Konyot’s father, Alex Konyot, also a member of the Circus Hall of Fame, started an equine training facility in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In the course of his more than 80-year career, he played a role in guiding multiple young riders to huge successes including six-time U.S. Olympian Robert Dover. Konyot began riding at a very young age and has been honing her skills ever since. In the 1990s, she spent five years training and showing in Europe: two years as a student of Herbert Rehbein, then Rudolf Zeilinger, and after that, Klaus Balkenhol. Originally from Germany, Steffen Peters, moved to the U.S. in 1985 and began riding for his adopted country in 1992. Since this time Peters has represented the U.S. at numerous championships and earned many National Titles. Chester Weber consistently has ranked as a top U.S. driver and is listed among the Top 10 internationally. His success in combined driving started early. At age 18, he was the youngest driver to be named to the United States Equestrian Team (USET) and to qualify for the World Pairs Driving Championship. By 1999, Weber had won 12 consecutive advanced combined driving events and then transitioned to Four-in-Hand driving, where he not only has made a name for himself internationally, but also has amassed an unprecedented streak of eight national championships in a row. Weber was the U.S. Four-In-Hand National Champion in March 2008

Tiana Coudray started riding lessons in the third grade but with a busy international Irish Dancing career, she didn’t hit the eventing scene until 2003. With newly purchased King Street, Coudray worked her way up from Novice to Advanced in a few years’ time. The rider’s success at both the lower and Advanced levels enabled Coudray to win the USEA Young Rider of the Year an unprecedented three times in 2005, 2007, and 2009 with multiple mounts. After years of partnering with King Street, Coudray brought her young horse Ringwood Magister onto the upper level scene with a splash in 2008 when the pair placed second in the Twin Rivers CCI2*. The pair then traveled to the FEI North American Junior and Young Riders Championships where they placed fourth in the CCI2*. Ringwood Magister returned to the lineup in a big way at the Jersey Fresh Three-Day Event when Coudray would pilot him to victory in the CCI3*. Coudray travelled to Montana that summer for The Event at Rebecca Farms, winning the CCI2* division on Master Hill. She finished the show season on a high note at the Boekelo CCI3* in The Netherlands where she rode Ringwood Magister to a sixth place finish. 2011 was an exciting year for Coudray as she won her first Advanced run of the year on Ringwood Magister in the Advanced A division at the Twin Rivers Winter Horse Trials before riding Master Hill to a third place finish in the Advanced AA at the Southern Pines Horse Trials. Coudray would return to the scene of her last CIC3* victory in May at the Jersey Fresh Three-Day Event with Master Hill, finishing second in the same division. Ringwood Magister and Coudray then travelled to England to set up their training base there. Born: November 20, 1963 Residence: Cazenovia, New York Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Beezie Madden has been riding since the age of three and made her Grand Prix debut in 1985. Four years of continued success followed, including participation on winning U.S. Nations Cup teams, leading to her being named the 1989 United States Olympic Committee’s Female Equestrian of the Year. Madden was the first woman—and the first U.S. rider—to ever reach the top three in the Gandini Show Jumping World Ranking List (achieved in 2004), and she was the first woman to pass the $1 million mark in earnings for jumping. Additionally, she has won back-to-back honors as USEF Equestrian of the Year— the first rider ever to do so. In 2004, she breezed through the Olympic Selection Trials, finishing in first place on Authentic. With her contribution of double-clear rounds in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, she helped the U.S. team win the Gold medal. While her success on U.S. soil earned her the American Grand Prix Association (AGA) Rider of the Year title that year. Madden added Team and Individual Silver medals to her resume at
