USEF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP & EVENT

NAMING GUIDELINES


OFFICIAL USEF EVENT TITLES The USEF owns and allocates a variety of Championships and Events to be managed by competition organizers across our recognized breeds and disciplines. To provide consistency in naming across these events and ensure alignment with competition organizers for signage, branding, communication, etc. the following serves as guidelines for the official event titles and branding. The competition organizer will have the opportunity to use the official title and has the right and the obligations to use the USEF trademark(s) and logo(s) as described below for the promotion and the advertisement of the USEF Championship or Event.



USEF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS/ FINALS The official title of the USEF National Championship/Final is composed of different parts: Year + Title Sponsor/USEF acronym + Discipline/Division or Category Designation + National Championship(s) or Final(s) + Presenting Sponsor EXAMPLES: 2019 Land Rover/USEF CCI5* Eventing National Championship presented by Mars Equestrian 2021 Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final



USEF REGIONAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP/ FINAL The official title of the USEF Regional National Championship/Final is composed of different parts: Year + Title Sponsor/USEF acronym + Discipline/Division or Category Designation + National Championship(s) or Final(s) + Region EXAMPLE: 2020 Adequan®/USEF Junior Hunter National Championship-East



USEF SERIES EVENTS The official title of the USEF Series Events are composed of different parts: Year + Title Sponsor/USEF acronym + Discipline/Division or Category Designation + Town/city or state as determined by USEF. If there are multiple venues in the same city, at USEF’s discretion further designation can be included.

EXAMPLE: 2021 Adequan®/USEF Eventing Youth Team Challenge Temecula 2021 Adequan®/USEF Eventing Youth Team Challenge Ocala (World Equestrian Center)



USEF TRADEMARK(S) AND LOGO(S) The USEF allows the competition organizer the use of the USEF trademark(s) and logo(s) until 6 months after the USEF Championship or Event or until expiration of the host agreement. US EQUESTRIAN LOGO: Logo should be used on printed material and on any website set up for the USEF Championship/Event or competition website detailing information about the USEF Championship/Event. The permitted use of the logo is defined in the USEF Brand Guidelines. No deviation from these guidelines by way of adaptation or alteration is acceptable.



USEF TRADEMARK(S) AND LOGO(S) USEF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP LOGO: Logo should be incorporated into branding plan for competition organizers hosting a USEF National Championship or Final. USEF will provide 3’x8’ vinyl banners to competition organizer with USEF National Championship Logo branding which should be displayed in a prominent location during Championship/Final. Competition organizer may include logo on printed material, additional signage, in communications etc. OFFICIAL EVENT LOGO: USEF Championships and Events that have specific event logos should be used in prominent locations and included within the overall event branding plan.



TITLE AND PRESENTING SPONSORSHIP USEF maintains first option to sell the title and the presenting sponsor of USEF Championships and Events. If the USEF does not secure a title or presenting sponsor, the organizer may secure a title or presenting sponsor with USEF approval. In case the USEF appoints a title sponsor for the USEF Championships and Events, the USEF shall inform the competition organizer in due time.
