Job Opening International Agenda Coordinator ABOUT US Equidad de Género: Ciudadanía, Trabajo y Familia promotes equality between women and men in Mexico. For over 20 years, we have strengthened women’s civic participation and leadership by advocating for gender mainstreaming in public policies. We are members of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC).

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The International Agenda Coordinator is part of the Policies and Budgets for Equality and Sustainable Development area. This role coordinates maps, keeps track and plans the international participation of the organization during key high-level advocacy moments. You will also work closely with numerous organizations, movements, and networks to strategize, campaign, and participate in technical research. You will coordinate the Campaign of Campaigns, a global initiative that brings together the efforts of diverse organizations, groups and movements addressing pressing global challenges to advance systemic changes. The Campaign seeks to build alliances across movements and issues to enhance individual efforts while pursuing a common objective. The International Agenda Coordinator will be responsible for the overall establishment, coordination, and implementation of the Campaign of Campaigns. They will work closely with campaign members to ensure an effective and successful campaign that achieves objectives.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 Plan and chair internal campaign meetings, share minutes with all members, keep updated the repository of all materials of the Campaign of Campaigns  Coordinate and organize campaign activities: mobilizing membership, public events, media outreach, workshops with journalists and policy makers, regional and global meetings  Maintain regular contacts with campaign members, increase the membership  Maintain strong networks with CSOs, social movements, media and policy makers including international organizations  Ensure that the website is regularly updated  Coordinate communications campaigns targeted to different audiences

 Lead the design of relevant and diverse campaign materials  Hire translators and any other consultancies, and monitor their work  Set-up and maintain an online calendar of advocacy opportunities combining national, regional, and international levels  Follow-up the campaign budget  Contribute, join, and collaborate with other campaigns  Coordinate internal resources and third parties/stakeholders for the execution of multiple projects  Attend conferences, training and meetings as required to maintain proficiency  Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and documents as needed to track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

 A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in either one of the following functional areas: Policy and advocacy at the global level; project management; public campaign management.  Experience in successfully running a public campaign (media, social media, stunts, marketing)  Working knowledge of macroeconomic justice issues that are relevant for the Global South such as debt justice/ financing for development/public services/ climate change/ international financial architecture, among others.  Understanding of the role of International Financial Institutions in the global economy  Holds values that support women’s rights and decolonial climate justice  Experience coordinating diverse stakeholders across time zones and geographic scopes (e.g., international, and regional/local groups)  Demonstrated experience in developing successful communications materials for various audiences, including e.g., the public, policymakers, press  Excellent writing skills in English & Spanish. Other languages (French, Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic) a plus.  Basic design & visual skills (Canva, MailChimp) (social) media savvy,  High integrity, excellent conceptual and team relations skills  Strategic, action-oriented mindset - highly organized and a go-getter

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  Programming and Event Support: Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the activities according to the commitments. Manage strategic operations for all program sessions and events, including scheduling, technology set-up and support, consulting with external speakers and preparing session materials. Work in close conjunction with the internal and external stakeholders to draft and/or edit all program communications. Serve as a liaison to program participants and moderate regional community forums online, analyze and track quantitative data trends related to the program such as impact measurement, attendance records, others.  Team Collaboration: Work in close conjunction with other Campaigns members to build alignment and buy-in for program implementation.  External Partnerships: As needed, contribute to other campaigns in distinct roles, including communications, governance, advocacy, memberships. Where possible, help to build networks that can support the execution of shared strategies and programming.  Other networks: Contribute to the Women’s and Gender Constituency, Women’s Major Group, Women’s Rights Caucus, Women’s Working Group on Financing for Development, among others.  Development and Creative + Comms: Contribute to communications materials for the public and to development reporting for funders, board, and the Foundation’s Creative + Comms Team. Collect program participant impact stories, interview program participants for Development and Creative + Comms highlights and assist with updating the program landing page on the Obama.org website.  Other Duties: Perform as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS  Demonstrated experience leading or supporting relevant social impact or leadership programs. Demonstrated experience utilizing gender, human rights, and equality lenses to achieve mission or program objectives. Strong candidates will have three or more years of experience  Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones from partners and team members.  Strong communications skills: verbal, written, team collaboration, and use of digital media tools. Excellent people skills and the ability to foster trusting relationships with program participants of all backgrounds.  Demonstrated project management and organizing skills, including budget, contract, and network management as well as event planning and coordination.
