Social Media Manager The Campaign of Campaigns is an exciting opportunity for a social media manager from the Global South with experience managing dynamic social media platforms across different age groups and geographies. The Campaign of Campaigns social media manager will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, persuasive, supportive, and enjoy working collaboratively with others while positioning messages related to urgent global macroeconomic issues in the public sphere, targeting decision makers, international and national civil society and the general public. This is a remote position. The initial contract is for 3 months, with the possibility for extension.

About the Campaigns of Campaigns The Campaigns of Campaigns is a global initiative organized by the Women’s Working Group on Financing for Development and the Civil Society Group on Financing for Development that brings together the efforts of diverse organizations, groups and movements addressing pressing global challenges to advance systemic changes. The Campaign seeks to build alliances across movements and issues to enhance individual efforts while pursuing a common objective. To this end, we create differentiated messages based on target audience and share information related to events and webinars, co-organize activities, facilitate dialogues, strengthen capacities of social movement actors, and organize intergenerational exchanges, among other activities. Given the global nature of the Campaign of Campaigns, we are committed to creatively using social networks to share our messages with diverse audiences, including decision makers, specialists and the general public from different regions of the globe. Currently, the Campaign shares content developed by partners and generates new content for those who are approaching some of the Campaign’s key issues for the first time. Communications are primarily in English, although the ability to produce materials in other languages is a plus.

About the position Among the activities that the social media manager will be responsible for undertaking are: creating, editing, and scheduling engaging social media content for a variety of audiences on a range of topics. The social media manager should own the success of the online Campaign, transforming copy into engaging content that helps to build knowledge and promote the engagement of our audience and strengthens connections with other networks, groups, and movements. The social media manager will plan and execute the social media content calendar, ensuring that all content is up-to-date, accurate, and approved by internal partners.


Responsibilities: ⎯ Develop a comprehensive Social Media Content Playbook, and become the key stakeholder tasked with executing the playbook, including, but not limited to: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube ⎯ Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news- at least 2 per day per platform) ⎯ Collaborate with other team members of the Campaign of Campaigns to conceptualize, create, review, and refine social content assets ⎯ Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner ⎯ Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout) ⎯ Suggest and implement new features to include in the Campaign of Campaigns’ public presence and to expand its reach ⎯ Proactively monitor social media content trends and innovations ⎯ Collaborate with other organizations, NGOs, etc. to promote joint messages. ⎯ Develop social media packages for the Campaign of Campaigns initiatives ⎯ Growth of social media following ⎯ Monitor social media analytics ⎯ Train team and other stakeholders on how to maximize their social media efforts ⎯ Actively work toward building engagement from diverse constituencies, groups, organizations, movements, etc. ⎯ Create a monthly newsletter related to Campaign of Campaign and partners events and activities ⎯ Build social media plans for priority events, in order to ensure we’re engaging before, during, and after events occur. ⎯ Plan and deliver capacity building for youth and grassroots groups interested in using social media to create their own creative content related to the issues of the Campaign.

Requirements ⎯ 2+ years experience working as a Social Media Manager/Strategist or Digital Content Strategist, preferably in the non-profit sector. ⎯ Strong understanding of best practices and passion for crafting content across all social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Youtube and Instagram ⎯ Self-starter with initiative, creativity, and drive ⎯ Ownership: you must take responsibility for the Campaign of Campaigns image and results. ⎯ You must be highly detail-oriented ⎯ Ability to communicate clearly and consistently


⎯ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent grammar and command of the English language. Additional language skills are a plus. ⎯ You consistently stay up-to-date on emerging social media trends and platforms and can make recommendations on whether or not to apply those changes and/or optimize. ⎯ Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, social communication, media, public policy, international relations, gender studies, or related field ⎯ Experience creating social media content (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) ⎯ Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are a plus
