He was a Polish mathematician and cryptologist who in 1932 broke the Enigma cipher, the most important encryption machine used by Nazi, and a lieutenant of the Polish Army in Great Britain
Contributors The success of Rejewski and cryptologists from the Cipher Bureau, including Henryk Zygalski and Jerzy Róşycki, made it possible for British readers of encrypted German correspondence during World War II, contributing to the victory of the Allied war.

Enigma The Enigma encryption machine was an electromechanical device equipped with a keyboard and a set of lamps marked with letters of the alphabet.
Commemoration The work of Polish cryptologists was appreciated both in Poland and abroad. They were decorated with many Polish orders before and after the war and after declassifying information about breaking the Enigma code.
