EVS vs European Solidarity Corps Volunteering Differences and similarities between Erasmus + European Voluntary Service and Volunteering Projects Erasmus + European Voluntary Service » Contribution to the daily work of organisations dealing with youth information and policies, young people's personal and socio-educational development, civic engagement, social care, inclusion of disadvantaged, environment, non-formal education programmes, ICTs and media literacy, culture and creativity, development cooperation, etc. » Organisations eligible for funding: non-profit, social enterprises, public bodies, private for-profit companies active in Corporate Social Responsibility » Organisations from Member States of the European Union, non-EU participating countries and partner countries neighbouring the EU can take part » Applicant must hold ‘Coordinating’ accreditation » Open to young people aged 17-30 » Partners must be identified at the application stage » Minimum 2 organisations must be involved in a project » Associated partners can be included in a project » Multi-beneficiary agreement – mandates with partners are required

 Project duration: 3 – 24 months  Accreditation required relevant to the role in the project  Partner organisations must be accredited before the start of project activities  Volunteering abroad  Long-term (2 – 12 months) and short-term (2 weeks – 2 months) activities  Volunteering in teams and individually  Advance Planning Visits and Complementary Activities available  Promoting social inclusion  Learning Outcomes recognised via Youthpass  Job substitution is not allowed  Similar funding rules: Travel, Organisational Support, Exceptional Costs and Linguistic Support  Additional funding available for participants with fewer opportunities and for additional personal expenses for volunteers  Training and Evaluation Cycle in place  European Solidarity Corps Portal registration for volunteers
