FreeGlide®

The only In-Line Powder Sampler guaranteed not to jam

The FreeGlide is a patented in-line powder sampler. It is designed to be installed in a vertical pipe and to take samples as the powder fall down pipe. The FreeGlide has a number of innovative features that make it ideal for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

FreeGlide Features

• The sample is collected in a cup and so is not physically altered by the sampling process

• In between taking samples the full bore of the pipe is available for product flow

• Product contact parts are either 316L stainless steel or FDA acceptable polymers

• Available with manual or automated operation

• Available in a range of standard sizes

• Quickly dismantles for cleaning between batches

Diaphragms

At the heart of the FreeGlide is our patented diaphragm. The diaphragm is made from a flexible polymer and it separates the product area from mechanical area. The diaphragm ensures that powder and dust does not enter the bearings and this keeps the sampler from jamming during use.

Diaphragms are available in three FDA acceptable polymers (silicone, Viton and EPDM).

FreeGlide® samplers are available to suit different pipe diameters and can be either manually or pneumatically operated

When the FreeGlide is not in use the full bore of the downpipe is available for powder flow.

In this position the Closing Plug seals the front of the FreeGlide and the diaphragm is automatically folded out of the way.

Powders

Sampling

The sampling cup is extended into the downpipe to catch the product as it falls.

In this position the Diaphragm is fully extended so that it seals the FreeGlide from the downpipe.

Discharging

The sampling cup is then retracted and inverted. The powder sample falls down the discharge chute to where it is collected.

In this position the Closing Plug seals the front of the FreeGlide and the diaphragm is automatically folded out of the way.

Keep samplers clean when not in use

Keep your samplers off the work bench with a Sampler Stand. Sampler Stands are made from 316L stainless steel and can be used with any sampler up to 35mm in diameter.
