Aspen Winds for Clarinet in Bb, Violin, and Piano
Notes When cross-staff beaming is used in the piano part, 8va and 15ma lines apply to both hands, not just the right hand. From measure 136 to the end, the piano pedal should be depressed until the end of the piece as indicated until the final measure, where the piano releases with the clarinet and violin. When the piano part has extensive cross-staff beaming, dynamics for both hands appear below the bottom staff. In general all violin tremolos should be as fast as possible. The speed of clarinet tremolos and trills may be shaped and stylized but should also be fast in general. Whenever possible, the violinist should vibrate pizzicatos for as long as possible after the sounding of the note.
