TOBE COLOR AND INSPIRATION FALL//WINTER 2016
FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK As another exciting season in fashion approaches, the top four trends for the fall/winter season are distinctly influenced by the color stories and trends mentioned in our color and inspiration report. We’ve discovered the main color trends for the upcoming season, now lets discover the perfect way for men to embrace the trends for fall/ winter 2016. In this report we will discuss the four major trends for menswear. The first is the trend of new lengths, it takes us back to the 60s and 70s, silhouettes are in awkward proportions and new lengths are appearing. Jackets become shrunken and waistlines become the key focus as high wasted pants are becoming androgynous. The second, ornate, is based on the love of all things metal. Gold’s, pewter, bronze, and blackened silver make appearances on embellished surfaces, with intricate constructions and patterns. Next, is the third trend of weightlessness, lightweight garments come to life as near weightless materials are combined with technology, perfect for the active and street wear loving man. Finally, larger than life, the trend where silhouettes are pumped up, exaggerated, inflated, and puffed to proportions creating a tangible sense of depth and volume, taking outerwear to new heights. We show you examples of how to create the perfect menswear inspired look, but make sure to add your own flare and personal style to create a look that’s all your own. Best Regards, Ericka McGriff EXECUTIVE EDITOR, TOBE TOBEREPORT.COM
