Rain Studios is a one-stop media solutions company offering the latest in production services. From weddings and commercials to feature-length films and documentaries, Rain Studios offers a level of quality and creativity that is unmatched.

The brand of Rain Studios will be able to stand across all platforms of the company and will help further the identity created over the years. Nothing created for Rain Studios was unintentional and every piece makes up another element that furthers the brand. The following book will showcase guidelines and various elements within the brand.

PRIMARY IDENTITY ELEMENTS

Logo, Logotype, Signature

The logo direction was chosen so it could be used universally throughout the various elements that make up Rain Studios. The mixture of the obvious raindrop was mixed with an aperture to create a sophisticated logo that strives to grab the attention of the viewer. The challenge of creating a universal logo was overcome by keeping to simplicity that had a sophisticated tone. The signature and logotype mirror this simplistic nature.

It is intended that this typeface used throughout every aspect of the Rain Studios brand. The regular weight is to be used for any primary element such as logo, business card, and letterhead. The lightweight is to be used as a secondary, supportive font that will underline tags or descriptive elements that support the rest of the message. Typography

The primary color palette is intended for use with anything having to do with the overall brand. The palette was selected to be basic but have complexity to it. The black, white, and gold are to be used for anything representing Rain Studios as a whole entity. The secondary colors are to be used for anything representing the wedding category within the company. Color

Graphic elements should be used sparingly and should never distract from the logo itself. The guidelines for spacing will still remain.

The photography used within the company should only be photographs produced by Rain Studios or partnering company Ely Roberts.

Photography

The spacing should leave ¼” at the top and bottom of the logo at all times and should have a minimum of ½” space on the sides of the logo. This should stay proportionate as the logo gets sized up from a 1x1.5” scale.

The logo should never shrink below a ¼ x ½ ” scale.

Spacing

The logo should never be stretched or changed by any physical appearance besides sizing proportionately. The logo should always remain solid. The logo should always be displayed completely and should never be chopped off anywhere. The logo must remain complete at all times and should not undergo any changes to form.

When pairing next to other logos, it is important that the logos are not read as one entity. Due to this, the spacing between other logos should double in the clear distance to ensure the highest amount of clarity.

The grids used for the various stationary are shown above. For the letterheads, it should all fit within a 6x8 grid, The business card information should fit within a 4x4 grid. Finally, the envelope pattern will fall within a 8x5 grid.

All environmental signage must represent the companies mission and showcase what Rain Studios has to offer. It should also display the logo along with a connection to the webpage. Colors may change depending on the application as stated previously.

The homepage should be a starting point that engages the customer to venture to other elements of the website that appeal to them such as wedding or studio. The homepage should use the primary colors and should follow the layout and theme of the stationary for consistency.
