Pringles Commercial Evaluation First Paragraph -Secondary Research To begin the processof creating an advert, I conducted a Secondary research on Pringles, the Procter and Gamble Company. First, I created a Stixyboard page and briefly wrote a few sentences and drew a few small sketches of the existing knowledge I had of the Snack Market based product. Slogan, Taste, videos‘sentences, images, videos, sounds etc’ in an attempt to kick start my idea. During classsessions we used gamesto help generate a concept of what the mise en scene of the advert would be. ‘Imagesof classgames’ This helped me to think out of the box as it After doing this, I identified what was needed to be researched the most. This then lead me to create a new Stixyboard page which would hold the following: History and Beginnings, Advertising & Marketing, SWOTAnalysis, ASA. http://www.stixy.com/guest/91443 Second Paragraph Once I had a firm concept, I then began looking into where it all originated. With the aid of bib.me an online bibliography website, I managed to successfully document the Articles, Magazine, Reports I had read ‘http://issuu.com/ericpeart/docs/advertising_bibliography’ There was a specific article that gave me clear answers explaining who the manufacturer of Pringles were, where the name was initially founded and why, ‘http://ezinearticles.com/?History-of-Pringles&id=4102375

After finding out that the name was chosen from a Cincinnati telephone book due to the pleasing sound, I realised that sound would have to be one of the main features in my commercial in order to successfully continue the company history, which in effect is on their USPs. I later went on to find out that Pringles commercials at that particular time (1968) were being Written, Directed and Produced by Thomas Scott Cadden http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=KMY7o1tZTYU After thorough analysis of previous the strengths and Weaknessesof the first ever Pringles Commercial. I came to a conclusion that my Advert would have to maintain the original upbeat tempo and incorporate a similar musical feel. -ASARegulations -BCAP -CAP Third Paragraph -SWOTAnalysis Fourth -Primary Research -Questionnaires -Focus Groups Fifth -Target Audience – Focus Group Sixth -Idea Generation, viability study (ime, space, budget) -Gamewith tom 7th Final Idea – How it met target audience
