A high quality MLM lead list is worth more than its weight in gold. It can sustain your business for a significant amount of time and can help you grow it even further. There are 2 ways lead lists are created – either bought or built. Bought lead lists are a premade list of people who you can contact to sell your product to. A built list is something you’ve created through your own effort. Buying a lead list saves you a lot of time collecting names you can contact. However the list maybe out of date or worse spammed to uselessness. If you trust the source of the leads and they are proven to be top quality, then it can be a very good investment. Of course there is still the chance that you’re not the only one who has been sold the same list. It’s much better in the long run to build your own list. It takes more time but you can use it to build good rapport with the people you’re in contact with. This makes it easier for you to pitch something to them especially if the people on your list are from the niche you’re specializing in. The challenge here is to ensure that you can build a productive list in a reasonable amount of time to sustain your business growth. Here are few good tips for building your MLM lead list: Maximize your website’s lead generation capabilities – good SEO efforts should be maintained. Make your blog easy to find, authoritative and regularly updated. These efforts will earn you more traffic that can become potential leads once they sign up. Cast a wide net via Social Media. Keep in touch with your team, recruits and customers here. Happy customers are the best lead gathering team. If suitably impressed, they will refer people to you for free! Join forums for your niche or specialization and actively join in the
discussions. Build up your reputation by sharing your expertise. Watch out for people who might benefit from your product or service. Q&A sites are a great way to scope out leads. Check out the questions that are related to your skills and experience. Try to answer them and invite them to contact you for more info. Ask politely for referrals from people who you have a good relationship with. Aside from family and friends, your forum and social media contacts are a good place to find referrals. Hold webinars or invite people to conference with you. This is like forum posting on steroids, if you can create enough buzz about it. Each interested attendee will usually sign in with their name and their contact information. Each is an interested and viable prospect for your MLM lead list. Be consistent with all your list building efforts. Always follow through with them. Your next lead or referral may just be around the corner.
There are also some network marketers who share or exchange their lead lists. Now this is another tricky proposition since you can’t guarantee the quality of the leads, but it is less risky than buying them from unproven sources. Make sure you’re trading leads from a different niche since it will be easier to pitch a different product.
