Sitting at the heart of Zhuhai city and surrounded by high-rise residential buildings, Xiangshan Lake Park indicates a linkage when urbanization progress meets the ecological network and shows a possible way of discussing urban landscape. A streamlined design language is embedded, through which the design intends to restore the symbiotic relationship between the city and landscape while respecting the existing site conditions.

On the basis of nearly intact preservation of the current shoreline form, a 1500-meter light blue jogging track undertakes the mission of connecting the waterfront spaces. There are three blade-shaped structures designed at the runway junction of the main entrance, one of which is enclosed by glass to form a temporary storage space for the public, and the other two are open pergolas line with strip seats, providing concentrated rest place for joggers. The hydrophilic space in the south side, through redefining the relationship between human and water, this puddle area is designed as a three-stage ecological wetland and becoming the rainbow storage tank of the central lake during the wet period. The region also has become an important educational showcase for the city's original ecology by combing the use of local hygrophyte.

The land of Tangquan Lake Sports Park owns a great range of topographical diversity with a central lake restoring runoff from its surroundings. The main task for design, on the other hand, is to carefully treat the geological existence by providing suitable conditions for proposed sports. Following a parametric topographical layout, a reasonable track emerges to deduce soil transporting and mechanical work. As a result, paths grow along the slope.Different experience was assigned to various access of the slopes. for example, one could choose a gentle track to go gradually up to the top while another could go through shorter steps.

After a thorough analysis of the rainwater catchment, a series of rain gardens are introduced through the coordination of terrain and landscape facilities. As the replacement of a direct drainage system, the rain garden provides seasonal changing greenery whilst containing and absorbing the runoff, to relieve the pressure on the municipal drainage system. A bridge floating above the rain garden erects pedestrians up in the air, linking the jogging track on both ends.

For the iconic signage of the park, the design pursues a capture of motion, which could be seen moving while in formed materials. Thus several tests were carried out during the design of the overall space, so that it seems almost growing from the landscape.

The establishment of Civil Code Park innovatively takes the park as a new medium for the publicity of civil code which spreads the obscure and unfamiliar code to the public in a more interactive way while keeping the primary function as a diverse and recreational garden. The park contributes to a larger discourse of the symbiotic relationship between ecology and culture, keeps the original characteristics of the site to the greatest extent, and upgrades and transforms them into a more dynamic urban space.

Located between the public green belt along Lianke 1st Road and the iconic towers of Shenzhen UpperHills, South Plaza is visually and functionally, a central anchor to the area. Additionally, “Shang-ma”(a heritage sculpture featuring a man jumping up to the back of a strong horse) was given to the site, making the plaza a link between the past and the present.

Softness and hardness sing together with the contrast and complementary shapes and materials: curvy metal curbs softly hold grass with a sharp finishing line, representing the mountains around; water gently covers up the stone, reflecting the modern glass facade of the towers. Those elements simultaneously interweave and synthesize a coherent roll of frames that is natural yet modern, soft yet sharp to a point.

As a showcase of infrastructural transformation, the cultural corridor was proposed to become a more activated public open space from its original function as a grand paved plaza. The design of the landscape keens to bring nature elements and softness back to the site with the introduction of a series of activities by which the public could be more included. Layers of paths, pocket gardens, and exhibition kiosks are organized in a way the public can explore more by enjoying the rich greenery and cozy shades.

By proposing various accesses and speeds, different experiences are thereby created. One can always find a suitable place to take while walking through the garden without interrupting the others. Unique spaces are designed by connecting the architectural conditions, surroundings, and even the proper sunlight. The plantation is also carefully chosen so that the garden changes with the reason, which provides a more charming scene outdoors. One of the most important aesthetics of the design is to merge, rather than to add, each element to another so that all the components would form a minimal yet coherent language that gives a refreshing and tasteful environment.

The design is triggered by the desire to build, a dialogue between the landscape and its architecture, and an exchange that can build local specificity generating a sense of strong identity. Such identity, however, instead of relying on iconoclastic imagination, finds its articulation in its placing within the site, stretching its boundaries onto the ground and producing a woven linkage with the landscape through elongated transitions - both spatial and functionally, it redefines its context and creates a new environment.

Hazira, a port town under rapid industrialization, is a natural flood plain constricted by the construction of industries along the coast and the undulating terrain. The proposal aims to create a water system that not only channels the flow of river water but also responds to the needs of other actors (agriculture, villages, other inhabitants, industries) by weaving them together, resulting in an inclusive system.
