ARCHITECTUAL APPROACH I see achitechure as an artform that I understand and explore in different angels. I think of achitecture in a conceptual and abstract philosophy, while att the same time having a critical and constructive discussion about process and method. METHOD I investigate a complex field that comprices a reflextion of scale, programatic angels, time frames, movement, rythm, and philosofical fragments. I believe in the importance to collect concrete information about the site and the achitectual program. In the process I work to transform the information to a material, that I read as my own achitectual langauge, gesture and code. This metod lets me expore a creative feild that combines all the important aspects of the acitectual process, a space where I work between the virtual and the actual. In my process I often use the model and drawing as a compliment to each other. This allowes me to work in several different layers that together developes to a studyfield that forms the essence and space of the project. When the drawing turn you to the point where it connects to the concrete field again, your achitectual program and something that can define a start of your building section or plane. Thats is one of the feilds that faschinates me most and that I want to keep exploring. In my work and individual expression I am always aiming to push my material to a new angle and to never stop experimenting in order to develop. To keep questioning and always value the enviroment and surroundings of the site and the history of what it was and what it can become.

LOCAL FOOD MARKET HALL The North part of Ă˜sterbro, Copenhagen is an area where the surroundings don´t invite any urban living. The contrast beween the ciytscape and private spaces are very distinct. In my studies regarding this particular site I was looking for transparency, a line that could vibrate between the people and cityscape. Architectual program. Foodmarket _cooking workshop _resturant lokal pruduct. Markets stands foulds in and out during a day, a constant transition between the dense individual pocket space to the fluctuated surface. How could the small scale fragments lined up or stapled lay hold of an open volume? One part of the market space would appear more raw with permanent stands and the other part, a transforming and fluent outdoor marketspace. I was working with furnishing and different patterns of movement to keep the structure open for transformation over time. The discutission of time frazmes of the buildning became a groundlayer for the developing process and how the rythm of the market could play between in and outdoors. My conceptual focus was to study the essence and function of the markets frames and concepts in a constant discussion with the space ,volyme and urban rythm of the site. Allt this with the base of a core that would place the building and funktion to the cityscapes lining and movement. With conceptual models and drawings I studied all the different contents that were to create series as a developement to the space, site and program.

The first model study was about developing the model in the process of its own movement in its own body. When one side transforms, the other side adjusts and a connection appear between the front and backside. A registration of the transtitions between the opposite fragmets.

HOUSING

2012

TOWN HOUSE AND CREATIVE STUDIO Building, function and context A study of the home with three elemts: the city, the body and furniture as the basis for the analysis. The home is studied as a part of the matrix of the city. The relationships between the home and the furniture, and how furniture takes part in creating spaces which can function as space for action for the habitants of the home. A family town house with a funktioning creative studio connected to the steet and backyard. The site was located in the central area of Copenhagen and had incapacious space, so working with furnishing, movement and the body was a natural way to exploit and understand the potential of the small space. The drawing on next page is a developement of how the living space and behavior can be read as a mapping. Different scales in the living space transformed to codes cordinated in a composed field. To stack, stand, fould or refurnish, and the discussion of how they can combine in a surface with eachother. The model was a way to study the body versus the door, in a scale 1:20. One model that was registrated in its movement, a study of its transformation with every turn, where the smallest details foulds and grabs the open surface and volume.

Drawing created with an area map underneath. An analysis of the site, the gap between the compact cityscape and identical block of townshouses and how they can interact with eachother. Diagrams of the rythm, transitions and stacking of the living space contexts and volymes. The places and gap where the light would occur. Opening the disscution to a virtual buildnig section.

LANDSCAPING

2011

AMAGERFÆLLED PARK COPENHAGEN. The second semester provide an insight into architectual spaces, scales and structures, where drawings models and surfaces are developed to the context of a given landscape. I studied the given site with speed and rythm registrated from the outdoor metro that was located in line with the park. I worked with a pixilated transition to the landscape. Through the pixilated landscape information, drawings and models were developed along with a new sturucture and construkted landscape. An in and outdoor shootingfacility where interacted with the constructed landscape, an operative structure that through its transformation of the given landscape measure the dimentions of the context.

The pixilated landscape modelstudies, cartogfafical studies and programatic diagrams- a base and core for the Plane.

1:1 PROSTHESIS BODY, SCALE, THE FYSICAL MACHINE This semester gave an insight into spacial structures and concretions of space as a composition of design considerations and structual combinations. My first conceptional focus was to study the body from a fysical workoutmachine. When the body puch or drag the weights of the machine the structure transformes. This became a basis for the 1.1 phrosthesis that was to be installaled into a given space in a building. The Body_ Machine_ Drawing_ 1.1 Installation.

COPENHAGEN METRO

2012

A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE This project was focused on the future metro line of Copenhagen and how it will interact with the ciytscape and the new stations context. The station Nuuks Plads is located in Nørrebro Copenhagen next to the Danish Country Archive. My study was to interact the archive and all its hidden treasures and history with the urban cityscape and make it into an identity for that specific station. To build a connected part to the exicting achive which could be open to the public and connected to the metro station. Through cartographical drawings and sectional fragmental models I stuied the interaction and compositions of a volume and its reaction with something thats already excits. The sectional studies in cooperation with the cartographical drawings where the key of the prodject. A dialog between the cartografical surface of the site, the body, the urban cityscape and the 30 meter metro drop.

ACHITECTONICS The drawing was structuated in cooperation with reading Proust and Signs by Gilles Deleuze. The drawing works in a way as a mechanism, by cracking, sliding, folding, and delimit the field. It is all about the peregrination and story around the drawing as well as into the smallest detail and how that affects the the compsition of the drawing feild. The model study where created in a context where one wooden model where to develope in its own body and movement. Like the dawing, it transforming and leaving traces after its own movement. The surfaces ,edges and scale copies eachother when one side changes, it isabout balance and compsosition.

FLUCTUATED FLATSCAPE WORKSHOP BY ARCHITECT TOSHKATSU KIUSHI

The focus of this workshop was to study deformation. Working with the concept of flatness the deformation theme “shadow” was transformed through scripts in Rhino and produced a lasercutted analouge model.
