Fit-for-purpose fitting tools reduce failures
Situation
Constant brinelling/denting of small bore bearings fitted to a customer’s conveyor roller was a reoccurring problem. Their current fitting kit had parts missing so the fitters were using standard tools, hammers etc creating unforeseen stress and damage to the bearings on fitment.
Solution
An easily transportable fully cased fitting kit from simatec - including dead weight hammer and a selection of dies allowing for a more accurate fitment - was supplied from stock at ERIKS and delivered to the customer’s site the following day. Damage and premature failures were literally reduced overnight.
