Malmborg’s Starter Plants Please take a moment to look through our new catalog and plant listing. There are many new items as well as a number of discontinued items. Look at our website – www.malmborgsinc.com to see all the drops and the recommended substitutes. Over the past couple of years, we have seen great changes on our product offerings and I hope you take the time to see what other items we have that are not just new this season. It is difficult for everyone to keep up with all the new items and which ones demand our immediate attention and those that may need a year to prove themselves. This year we have added a new supplier of cuttings with GroLink for their Alternantheras, Yellow Cuphea, Dahlias, and Euphorbia. GroLink has some new and different products that will greatly enhance our current offerings. Malmborg’s will also be adding the garden mums from Grolink for the Spring and Summer programs- that listing will be available this fall. Since there is no way to talk about all the new offerings, I would like to mention some of the categories to take a look at. Malmborg’s is now offering two varieties of Euphorbia from GroLink – check them out. Dahlias have become a major product for us as we now have the Goldalias from Syngenta, Dahlinovas and Hypnoticas (6 new colors this year) from Fides, and new this year will be the Lucky series, Dark Angels, and Dalina varieties from GroLink. A very extensive list for pot sizes from 4-1/2” to patio pots. Another group will be the Petunias, there have been many new varieties with varied colors, flower size, and habit. The Perfectunia series will be great for containers and pots with a more mounding/upright habit. The Littletunias give incredible flower power with a more compact habit. The Fortunias series has medium/large flowers with consistent habit across the varieties and a complete offering of colors. It is also important to note that the Jamboree series has been combined with the Sanguna series from Syngenta. Some colors were dropped but most just had a name change.
We will continue to produce nearly all our liners in the Preforma 26 strip. Our goal has been to allow enough time for most items to be trimmed and to bulk up for a faster finish for our customers. We will continue to do that on all those varieties that respond well but some like Calibrachoa and occasionally Petunias can be sensitive to prolonged periods in a small soil volume. So we will be very careful to be sure that those products are kept on a strict schedule for shipping. ORDER INFORMATION: Our minimum order is two boxes of any combination of product per shipment. See ‘PACKAGING’ on the next page for quantities of plants per box. Order acknowledgments will be provided for each order booked and must be reviewed by the broker for accuracy. Malmborg’s will not accept liability for error on any order or portion of an order shipped as acknowledged. Order revisions or cancellations will be accepted up to five weeks prior to the scheduled ship date. Brokers who revise or change orders within five weeks of shipment will be expected to resell or otherwise dispose of the product at their cost.
CLAIMS: Any shipping claims must be filed with the broker and reported to Malmborg’s within 48 hours of receipt of the shipment. All quality claims must be filed with the broker and reported to Malmborg’s with 14 days of receipt of the shipment.
WARRANTY/LIABILITY: SHIPPING: Airline shipments are made collect to the customer or pre-paid via available carriers. Federal Express shipments are shipped second day unless requested otherwise. Malmborg’s will not be held responsible for damage caused to plants during transit. If the number of boxes for a Federal Express shipment is more then 5 boxes, it may be shipped FedEx First Freight depending on the level of service to the area. Shipping instructions must be submitted with your order.
Malmborg’s warrants that the plants are viable. There are no additional warranties, either expressed or implied. Malmborg’s liability is limited to the purchase price of the plants.
PRICING: Prices are subject to change at any time without notice. There is a $20.00 additional charge for any order under minimum.
There is a winter pack (Styrofoam lining of box) charge of $4.00 per box for shipments that require cold protection. This will generally occur from week 1 through week 13 for those orders that are shipped either FedEx or Air.

Pick up orders must be scheduled in advance with Malmborg’s Shipping Department. Post cards will be sent a week in advance to notify customers of their pickup date and if date changes are needed, customers must contact the Malmborg’s Shipping Department. Pick ups are most often scheduled on Thursdays and Fridays. If plants are needed earlier in the week, please schedule the pick up for the prior week.

RECEIVABLE TERMS: Our terms are Net 30 days from our invoice date. A service charge of 1.5% per month (18%APR) is applied to all past due accounts.
PLANT PATENT PROTECTION: Propagation of patented plant varieties is prohibited without a license.

WE WILL PROVIDE ONE LABEL FOR EACH PLANT PURCHASED, whether or not the plant is patented. You can limit the number of labels per variety to a ratio of the number of plants ordered. The minimum ratio is 1 label for 5 plants (in multiples of 25 labels) for patented varieties and zero for nonpatented varieties. The label is included in the price. If requesting a reduction in labels, the label cost will then be deducted from the invoice at a rate of $0.025 per label.

PACKAGING: Preforma 26 strip is sold as 25. They are shipped in multiples of 100. The new packaging setup will allow us to put either 100 , 200, or 300 in a box. That determinations will depend on the product size at shipping time. Most all products in the Preforma 26 strip will be shipped 300 in a box. A minimum order will be 400 plants if only the Preforma 26 strip is ordered. Once 400 plants are ordered, then the increments will be every 100 plants for even boxing for shipping freight. Please remember that for customers either picking up product or having it delivered by Malmborg’s/Wagner’s, those orders do not have to be multiples of 100.
Availability Period:
Ellepot 32, Ellepot 50, and standard 50 tray is shipped in multiples of two trays. Each box contains two trays of any of these trays listed. These cannot be combined in the boxes with the Preforma 26 strip. A minimum order for any of these trays would be 4 trays to fill two boxes. For even boxing for freight, every order must have increments of two trays of any of the items in these tray categories.
