At Hape, we seek to support child development through our educational toys that encourage open-ended play and facilitate opportunities for children to learn and grow. In 2024, we continued to create joyous and meaningful play experiences for children and families around the world
Inspire and Educate
The opening of our first Hape Experiential Learning Centre in China this year marked an important milestone in our mission to inspire playful learning, and the centre’s interactive exhibits and hands-on activities encourage children to explore STEM concepts in a fun and exciting way. In the years to come, we will continue to expand our Hape Experiential Learning Centre to new locations in China, in order to engage more children with our playful learning experiences which are designed to bring hands-on fun and enjoyment to crucial disciples like math and science. Through play, we strive to encourage curiosity, spark creativity, and foster a passion for lifelong learning that impacts children all over the world.
Prioritising Customers’ Needs
In 2024, we continued to invest in our customer experiences, taking further steps to diversify and optimise our marketing strategies. To achieve this, we developed our channel strategy, which allows us to more effectively cater to the specific needs of our customers. While this strategic approach will undoubtedly help to increase customer satisfaction and engagement, it will also help us to enhance our brand visibility.

One direct outcome of the realignment of Hape's core products through diversification, is our Hape Play Essentials line. This new product line consists of our core items, at a competitive price, aimed at generating highvolume sales with a lower profit margin. Such efforts will allow our partners to achieve their objectives, and in turn that will provide us with an opportunity to reach more children and families around the world with our play-based learning.
Important Steps Forward in our Sustainability Journey
Sustainability has been at Hape’s core since our inception, and we are committed to creating a more sustainable future for children, families, and for society as a whole. In that regard, 2024 has been an important year for a sustainable company like Hape, as we officially released the first “Sustainability Report” for our largest production facility in Ningbo, China. We are excited to demonstrate the meaningful progress we have made in environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects of our operations to our long-term partners. Looking forward to 2025, we are committed to the idea that, by taking actions and working together, we can build a better tomorrow for our future generations and for society as a whole.
Brands
Over the past 39 years Hape has grown into a leading Educational Wood toy brand. To continue this growth we are introducing the following brands to expand our reach to new age groups, categories and seasonal products.

PolyM is a construction toy made using soft material under German workmanship. These round-edge bricks are not only super safe to little hands, but also hygienic and easy to maintain.
DO – U – Play Games was launched in 2024 and takes aim at the popular outdoor gaming market. This line is open for all customers across all channels. Product can be purchased domestically or via import.
Trelines targets active outdoor play consumers who love Ziplines, Swings and Outdoor apparatus. This product is sold in all active channels in our US marketplace and open for all customers, Product can be purchased both domestic & import.
Science Can is exclusively distributed in the US offline marketplace by Hape. This science-based STEAM focused product line helps to foster and develop that natural curiosity in the sciences and STEM/STEAM product needs.
ZZZMoon offers exciting stories not only to hear but also to see. The innovative bed-time devices combines audio-visual learning with relaxation and offer many fun and educational story adventures for children aged 3 to 6 years.

Backorders
• Adding to backorders is not allowed.
• Backorders under $75 will be canceled.
• Original order terms will pertain to backorders.
• Backorders will be filled based on a first in, first out method.
• If backorder units are not available to ship by cancel date, unfulfilled units will be canceled without notice.
• If there is no cancel date on the purchase order, backorders are shipped unless specifically requested to be canceled.
• At the end of each calendar year all open backorders will be canceled from the system (12/31).
Claims/Damages
• All sales are final.
• Account credit doesn’t have cash value.
• Short shipments, defectives & damages must be reported within 10 business days of order receipt.
• Except for LTL, which are required to be reported within 5 business days.
• Credit will only apply to defective or damaged merchandise and must be reported within 10 days of receipt.
• Do not discard of defective or damaged product unless authorized by customer service to do so.
• Any Defective, Damaged or Lost products/shipment on LTL or small parcel shipments must be clearly noted when signing for Bill of Lading/Delivery. This is basic requirement and first step when submitting claim with carriers. If damages are not noted Hape may not be able to provide replacement/credit for damaged items.
Returns
• Returns will not be authorized for merchandise received 30 days after invoice date.
• Any return must be authorized, and a Return Authorization (RA) number will be provided by customer service.
• Returns without an RA number will not be accepted or credited.
• Restocking fee of 25% and return shipping fees may be applied.

Freight
& Shipping
• All orders are ex-works Milwaukee, WI.
• Special shipping instructions (inside door delivery & lift gate) and/or routing guides must be included with the initial order.
• Truck delivery to residential or restricted access locations may be subject to additional charge.
• Orders over $1000 receive Free Freight Allowance (FFA). Carrier selected at Hape’s discretion.
• Qualifying orders with Free Freight Allowance (FFA) may deduct the freight charges from their invoice if paid within terms.
• Hape does not offer white glove delivery.
• Hape Warehouse will be closed from Dec. 26-31 for yearly inventory count, no orders will be shipped during this time.
