It’s a festival of experiences! There is so much happening in Downtown Kamloops that we had to give it a name! The Festival of Experiences runs all year long.

Lights in the Night

Downtown Kamloops is home to nearly 6500 residents, and we have more than 10,000 people who come into the downtown core on a daily basis for myriad reasons. They are shoppers and workers, visitors and vacationers. They come for the experiences, the services we provide, the wonderfully unique shops and restaurants, our arts scene and much more. Time and time again, Downtown Kamloops has been touted for being the most absolutely friendly neighbourhood, a characteristic that is not easy to forget.

The Lights in the Night Christmas Party is sure to impress this year. Starting at 4pm on November 24, downtown merchants and restaurants come together to throw parties, amazing sales, host seasonal activities and give away samples and goodies! It is also home to our In It To Win It gigantic live prizing giveaway. Merchants up and down the street will be lighting up their windows with fantastic holiday displays to compliment the Kamloops Arts Council’s Lumiere Parade, which strolls to the beautiful Christmas Tree Light-up at St. Andrews on the Square.

Good old, jolly Saint Nick is coming into Downtown Kamloops Saturday, November 26 to finish our annual Kamloops Santa Claus Parade! The day starts with WakeUp Santa at 10:30am and the parade beginning at 11:00am. Pre-parade entertainment starts at 10:15am along the route. The parade starts at 2nd Ave & St. Paul Street, runs down 2nd Avenue to Victoria Street and along Victoria Street until 6th Avenue. The parade ends at 6th Avenue.
