Solemate
The kit includes mat spray, face mist, hand and feet wipes, and a clean pair of socks. The products combined are intended to leave its user feeling as fresh and pure on the outside as they do on the inside, hours after their practice. The kit is tucked inside a mini yoga bag, which pulls open and close with a string for easy access. The smaller bag attaches to a larger mat bag for easy transportation to and from a yoga practice. Each soft good piece is hand stitched, hand dyed, and constructed out of organic cotton canvas. The cleaner kit bottles are plastic, and embossed with the Solemate logo, a golden mandala. The brand colors are inspired by the warm rays of the sun, contrasting the cool, calming waves of the ocean. For many, yoga is a process of healing and acceptance, and a journey of self discovery. Solemate is brand inspired by these aspects of one’s yoga practice, and the need to practice yoga wherever life may lead. Whether this may be to the top of a mountain, on a beach, or at a yoga studio, Solemate is intended to preserve the renewal of mind, body and soul that are achieved in a yoga practice.

Bristol Farms Private Label Bronze-Die Pasta
Bristol Farms Private Label Bronze-Die Pasta is handcrafted in Italy and shipped and distributed to all Bristol Farms locations across Southern California. The aesthetic for their private label collection is clean and sophisticated design combined with hand drawn illustration. The illustration of a few simple stalks of wheat frames the die cut window, exposing the pasta inside, and is featured on each of the five varieties. The concept is subtle and minimal, yet sophisticated enough to turn an ordinary pasta box into a special item customers are more inclined to pick up off the self.

Dead Wind Brewery places a heavy focus on hand drawn type and illustration. The label and bottle cap were created using handwritten, watercolor and digital techniques. Combined, these elements work to establish a moody aesthetic which evokes a sense of intrigue, mystery, and curiosity. Dead Wind Brewery
Inspired by legends of Celtic mermaids, this label is fitted around a bottle of scotch ale, a beer that is full bodied, high in alcohol content, yet sweet to the taste. The ale is a direct reflection of the Celtic legend who’s mermaids are both seductive and evil and are believed to haunt the northern islands of Scotland. These landscapes are the inspiration for the chosen color palette. The label and bar code feature a portrait of a woman emerging from the water with a beautiful, yet sinister look in her eye. The illustration plays with the idea that there is a certain type of evil which lives behind all beautiful things.

Kimono is hand sewn, bleached and silkcreened on hand dyed fabric. Extention of Self
It is said that textiles act as our second skin; an extention of who we are and how we present ourselves to the world. This is no different for this piece, which is features silkscreened poppies inpired from floral tattoos.

Weaving dimentions: 12’x36’ Let There Be You, Let There Be Me
The design of the weaving is reflective of traditional Ukrainian textiles, represented through color, pattern, embroidery and lace. Here, diamond, twill, unbalanced twill and herringbone stitches repeat throughout the piece, a total of four times in eight inch increments. The order of the sequence remains the same while the colors vary from repeat to repeat. This consistant change broken up by stripes of white, create seemingly endless ribbons of color.

Land and Sea
Memories of Southern California inspired this weaving, which was woven on an eight harness floor loom. The piece features sections of tapestry designed to mirror the rock formations and shorelines of Pacific Ocean. Scattered throughout the piece are bits of plants and twigs inlaid into the weaving to add elements of nature and bring about an overall earthy feel.

The aesthetic for the branding is ethereal and colorful. The individual flowers are painted in watercolor and are intertwined to create an abstract pattern made up of shape and color. Ultimately, the final logo was reduced to the trilogy of flowers, with the hand written text layered on top. The hand painted and hand written elements of the logo directly reflect the handmade quality of the brand itself.

Reflections
Reflections is a project inspired by architect Daniel Libeskind for a mock exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Libeskind, who designed buildings such as The Crystals at City Center and the National Holocaust Museum, draws inspiration from the site of his projects. He considers what is below, behind or underneath, the shadows, the clouds and birds flying overhead. Through this research, the concept behind the title “Reflections,” and the paper cranes came to life. The birds are meant to represent glass, a reoccurring material found in all of Libeskind’s buildings. The paper cranes are represented in each piece, unifying the exhibit. A mock ticket was created demonstrating the interactive user experience, where one can unfold the ticket, hold it to the sun and witness the reflection of colored light.

GROUND ZERO MEMORIAL
In designing the master site plan, Daniel Libeskind worked closely with all the stakeholders, knowing that it was fundamental to balance the memory of the tragedy with the need to foster a vibrant and working neighborhood. In the end, he devoted half of the 16-acre site to public space, defined by the Memorial and the Memorial Museum, while also setting aside locations for sustainable, high-tech office towers, and re-connecting the historic street-grid.

Tasmanian Cherries
Tasmanian cherries are some of the sweetest and ripest fruit in the world. They are grown on a small family farm in Tasmania, Australia, and are air freighted to Bristol Farms stores in mid January- and almost unheard of time of year for cherries. The color inspiration for the cherries was drawn directly from the fruit themselves. The goal was to capture their rich, dark color in deep hues of magentas and cool greens. The light wood background, and the hand painted watercolor technique give an overall earthy aesthetic and are tribute to the farmhouse in Tasmania where the cherries are grown.

Sketchbook
A sketchbook is a place to draw without inhibitions, to make decisions in the moment, and to view each line as a new adventure. This sketchbook has traveled to Hong Kong, New York, Savannah, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, and its pages hold memories old and new.
The pages from this sketchbook vary in both style and technique. Some are painted directly from life, out on the sidewalk, on a park bench or at the kitchen table, while other studies are pure imagination. Watercolor Sketchbook
From each page, regardless of the technique, a discovery is made. This could mean experimenting with a brush stroke, mixing a unique color, or blending two unlikely hues. As a result, the watercolor sketchbook process is as therapeutic as it is inspiring.

Stuff on a Cup
Stuff on a Cup began on a coffee break when inspiration struck but there was no sketchbook in sight. All that was accessible was a paper cup and a few ink pens. Stuff on a Cup is about adding a little bit of magic to ordinary things. It is about seeing the beauty in even the most mundane objects, drawing inspiration from landscapes, moonscapes and imaginary worlds and bringing them to life. A plain white coffee cup truly is so much more than what meets the eye.
Chalk Art
These chalk art pieces were created for Whole Foods Market and Bristol Farms and used as signage for displays, sales, holidays and promotions throughout various store locations. They are illustrated on black P95 acrylic board using Woodcraft paint markers. They are done entirely by hand, using only the marker finger tips for blending. (No paint brushes were harmed in the making of these pieces.) Living in a consumer driven world, we, as consumers, often times get so lost in the business of our every day that we forget to notice the little things. We forget to see the beauty in our surroundings, simply because we just don’t have the moments to spare. Chalk art is intended to change that, balancing on the conceptual and business aspect of marketing. The conceptual side aims to help remind the consumer of the beauty in the details, while the goal of the business side is to create a visually appealing aesthetic for customers and to ultimately drive sales.
Patterns
This compilation of patterns range in subject matter from food to floral, and each are primarily watercolor. The patterns combine bright, vibrant colors, and abstract shapes.
