An all-day and all-night extravaganza of music, good times and beautiful people, Brooklyn's Afropunk Festival was the perfect send-off to summer. spent two days shooting the AfroPunk Festival this past August. I have been photographing the festival for the past several years.
The festival has developed a culture all its own in its 10+ years. I wanted to show every aspect of the event, from the artists, to the back stage scene, to the workers and, of course, the fans. In the end, I shot about 7,000 photos, testing my stamina to document everything. Since then, I have edited them down to 50 pages. Enjoy
