This collaboration between a renowned Black make-up artist and model supports the idea of how diverse women of importance have used fashion to project their voices louder by collaborating to celebrate how diverse the fashion industry is becoming. Campbell spoke about how the collaboration was not just an opportunity that she needs to embrace but something she could do for her entire culture. In this way both women are becoming the next pioneers for Black culture in fashion. By supporting not only black creatives already in the industry but diverse creatives emerging through it is being easier and more of a ‘norm’ that barriers are broken, and we are bringing to see more culture rich fashion made by a more diverse set of creatives. Zendaya's awareness for the models who ‘fearlessly pioneered and opened doors’ before her reflects on Naomi Campbell, who began to change the landscape of fashion back in 1986.
