I had a dream of a ship that was sailed in the night Such a sweet, sweet call The siren soothes my mind Who am I going to be when the curtain is drawn? In the cold, cold light they whisper to me, "take it all" Ooh ooh ooh The fortune said, "Flowers bloom with no regret" Surround me, body and soul Pull me into your glow, make me blush Unbound me, spin me in gold As the story unfolds in your touch Ooh ooh ooh ooh Who can breathe me into life? Ooh ooh ooh ooh Just one more look at you My heart has been hypnotized I know a place where it s always so perfect and blue And the boy says, "Babe, believe me, it's all for you" Ooh ooh ooh The fortune said

An aspect i’d like to include in to my research is the concept of the

Fragility of Human Nature. The

idea we need to learn to live in harmony within how we are connected to our surroundings make us vulnerable to the idea that we as humans are just as fragile as the ecosystems in nature. A photographer, which captures this theory beautifully, is Li Hui. He exposes the human body with natural imagery, often using light to depict the beauty of

fragility in humans and nature.

Mastering the art of heritage

in a fashion brand seems a long process. Understanding the fashion brands core values and knowledge of where it’s been and what its do is crucial to leading the brand in a new but same direction. WHY MENSWEAR ? I was influenced from Erdem and H&M collaboration and the genderless aspect of mean wearing bloom florals. If I want to follow I will need to find and follow the trend of genderless masculine figures in the public eye. Examples such as Harry styles, Timothy Chalamet and Billy Porter.

WHY NOT WOMENSWEAR ? I don’t like the straight forward route: that’s not my style: its not as creatively stimulating However … Alice in Wonderland and the fragility of mother nature could link to how women as seen as fragile in todays society. However this is not my opinion, my opinion is that we aren’t fragile, its just the society and environment we are placed in.

SO… THE ROUTE OF FRAGILITY IN MEN / MASCULINITY OR THE FRAGILITY OF WOMEN IN SOCIETY. ? Or what about the fragility of humans? Correlating with the fragility of nature. IN THE TREND ARE YOU LOOKING AT MENSWEAR / WOMENSWEAR / HUMANWEAR? Alexander McQueen designed clothes for humans in her latest SS 22 collection. And I loved that idea of forecasting clothes that anyone and everyone could wear. However, menswear would allow me to create something more weird and wonderful due to society still expecting the typical male to wear jeans and t-shirts, despite male figures in the public eye now wildly exploring the concept of masculinity. Yet, womenswear would connect to the aspect of the fragility of women in society and link with Alice in wonderland / through the looking glass, however women’s wear doesn’t excite me as much as the other two idea do.

Green creates

B R E AK I N G N E W S: D E S C O V E R Y ON MARS! Getting rid of the idea of men and women and just focus on society moving to mars and meeting the native flower people Because when I decided if should do womenswear or menswear I was still thinking I needed a trend pack and had to show clothing products as my end outcome. Ive looked at my 2000 words and research and I could easily alter the idea. I just think that my original masculinity idea doesn’t quiet sit right with my project as a whole .

Through various presentations and 1-1’s with tutors and industry professionals, I knew my story narrative never quite sat right with want I wanted and could never figure out which piece didn’t fit the puzzle. Its was only when I was talking through the beginning of my trend book I labelled one of Tim Walkers photos as ‘ The Flower People ‘. Therefore, my trend narrative will continue to follow the world I’ve created on Mars, however instead of narrowing myself down to mens/ womenswear, I’ve allowed my narrative to explore the new native society, The Flower People. From a first person story narrative, I will follow my character through the emotions of leaving earth in its current state to the new planet Mars and discovering The Flower People. I will then apply my research to the new society and follow their way of life. It will then be up to my character to decide whether or not to continue their life on Mars, or return home with the gifted knowledge from the Flower society.

Instead of focusing on fragile masculinity i will focus on the fragility of nature and how ecosystems, despite their complexity, can be easily damaged by the simplest of things. Ensuring the flower society on mars is living in terrariums, they will be protected from the harsh cold conditions on mars Despite the harsh climate and the fragility of nature, terrariums allow life to bloom wildly and freely without danger of extinction. The idea that this concept could be taken back to earth ,despite rapid changes in global warming, allows for humanity to adapt and evolve to their new surroundings. Even if its just a temporary solution until we can

reverse the changes. Preserving vital plants and wildlife could be key in to rebuilding what we have already damaged The idea that the amazon could be encased in a glass dome: much like The Eden Project.
