This essay originates from the need to analyze the state of the relationship between the pacifist and ecologist movements, to verify which interactions are already present and, above all, what new developments can have a greater integration between the peace mobilizations and those for the environment. After a brief research on the current degree of this interaction, the reflection deals with the opposition to a growing militarization of society, the military-industrial complex and the proliferation of war conflicts. The devastating environmental and health effects they have on the territory and local communities are analyzed, but also - on a global level - on global warming. A hypothesis of a theoretical and practical perspective based on the principles of ecopacifism is then illustrated, followed by a deepening of a perspective based on a spiritual approach, to integrate the commitment to peace with that for justice and the safeguarding of integrity of Creation, in ecumenical and inter-religious perspective.
