1 enclosure Enclosure in a building design create a sense of security and indirectly introducing a community aspect to an area.
2 elevated floor Elevated view allow a sense of superiority and creates different perspective view of the immediate context.
3 change in levels Change in levels in a building design introduce a more dynamic circulation for the users. Ramps creates a linear route that forces users to carry on towards the end.
4 courtyard Courtyard provides a space for residents to mingle and socialise as well a private sanctuary.
5 framing views Buildings and public spaces should always attempt to frame views to create an interesting ‘journey’ for the users.
6 LIGHT AND SHADOW light and shadow provides a more physical perception and at the same time instills an emotional sensibility in creating a more tangible and experiential space.

MASSING STRATEGY
Final result , shows that the tapering of the building block creates a more efficient wind movement that wraps around the sides of the building creating an area that is exposed to wind movement.
Final massing model before for wind analysis
The higher residential block is tapered in order to avoid blocking the view of the sunset as well as to act as a windbreaker.
Final result , shows that the tapering and the podium creates an opening for the wind to pass, hence, creating a windbreaker.
Due to the wind analysis, the model is substracted in a way that it provides a more sufficient wind movement to avoid creating a wind vortex in the middle of the development.
A podium is created on the fourth to sixth floor in order to act as a windbreaker sending spiralling wind back up.This is to avoid creating a wind vortex on the street level.
