This April, Tulip decided to round up our very own food bloggers for some rapid shots. Yes 3 shots, we asked our foodies 3 fun and quirky questions. Read to find out about these 3 shots!

Name a food combination that shouldn’t exist. I had recently seen a video of Momo Icecream and I think the fact that somebody could mix both of these things is nauseating. Besides, I love both of these items, separately of course.

Name one dessert that you can’t live without. I cannot live without Apricot Delight from Spicy Venue. It is simply heavenly and I love to relish in it after a lovely south Indian meal.

Name an overrated dish. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day but if there is something which I find overrated across breakfast options then it is Poha. It is a dish that is loved by many but it just doesn't go well with my palette.

Name one drink that is essential in the morning. Wheatgrass juice is an essential beverage in the morning which is a power-packed beverage with an extensive combination of nutrients and vitamins such as iron, calcium, magnesium, 17 amino acids, B complex, and vitamins A, C, E, and K. This also aids in metabolism, digestion, losing weight, cholesterol reduction, and toxins elimination.

Name an unpopular weird food combo that you like. Salted Caramel ice cream with potato chips and shaved chocolate is a weird combo but tastes so good. This combination was curated by the Ice Cream King - Benn Ungermann, MasterChef Australia 2017 Runner-up. I had the opportunity to try the combination created by the man himself at Cream Stone in Hyderabad.

Name a dish that’s a must-try for everyone. I believe that Biryani and Pulaos are a must-try for everyone and I think people will love them as much as I do because I adore spicy food.

Name one dish that you absolutely hate. Well, hate is a strong word. Something I don’t like has to be karela as it’s too bitter. It doesn’t right with my taste preference.

Name an expensive dish that isn’t worth anyone’s time. Honestly, Street food is served in high-end restaurants. I feel they can’t do justice to the authentic street food taste.

Name a dish that’s a must-try for everyone. One can judge a community by their breakfast. So, whenever I get a chance to host someone from outside Hyderabad, I make sure I treat them to a Hyderabadi breakfast feast. There’s none other than Hotel Nayaab. A place that runs breakfast as early as 4 am. Malai paya and Hari Mirch Bheja fry, are the epitome of dopamine. I believe their food is a must-try!

Name one dish that you absolutely hate. How do I answer this without offending my community, so this place serves Persian sandwiches that lack flavor on bread, meat, and egg. Yeah, it’s so basic that the British tried to colonize it.

Name an expensive dish that isn’t worth anyone’s time. Definitely sushi and rare steaks. Sometimes the meat is so undercooked, it begins to eat the salad. Sushi is so raw that it’s still finding Nemo.

Name a dish you’d never share. That one dish I have never shared since my childhood is Maggi. That hot plate of Maggie without sharing it with your siblings and friends is true love and gives so much satisfaction.

Name a beverage that should be available at all eateries. Chai has to be that one beverage that all the eateries must have. And we Hyderabadis believe, that Chai is the only solution for all your headaches.

Name one dish that should be sent to exile. Sushi should be sent on exile. I don’t like the idea of raw fish. I know not all sushi is raw, but that is a factor for me. I don’t like the smell of the sushi rice or the smell I have tried to eat some of the cooked sushi but the smell of the vinegar and seaweed makes me gag.

Name a food combination that shouldn’t exist. Gulab Jamun Chaat. The chaat has all the ingredients like sev, curd, papdi, red and green chutneys but with gulab jamun. The tradition of weird food experimentation should not be preserved.

Name one dessert that you can’t live without. Every time I dig into the softest rasmalai, I can’t help but think of the people I love, of those who share my love for food, and those that I know would be just as delighted as me to savor whatever divine delicacy is on my plate.

Which food dish/beverage is overrated? Gold-covered anything is a waste of money and the definition of superfluous excess since it doesn’t add flavor and wastes the gold.
