Cash gratuity is not required or expected in any area of the Club but is accepted for exceptional service.

Golf Services – Cash gratuity is pooled daily among all golf services team members for fairness.

Food & Beverages Areas – A 20% service charge is automatically added to your food and beverage ticket. A percentage of this service charge goes back to the applicable server in addition to their hourly rate. Additional gratuity above the service charge is not expected but allowed for exceptional service.

Establishing a USGA GHIN Handicap

GHIN handicaps are encouraged for all members no matter the skill level. Handicaps are a great way for you to track your ability as well as compete on an equal playing field with fellow members/guests. Members are required to maintain a GHIN handicap if they wish to play in member golf events. The River Club does have a handicap policy which will be sent out annually. Following the handicap policy will guarantee that everyone is making the correct adjustments and posting accurate scores. All scores are posted by the professional team and all scorecards must be submitted to the Golf Shop or the after-hours scorecard drop box outside of the Golf Shop. If you are out of town or play away from The River Club, you may take a picture of the scorecard and email it to Head Golf Professional, Alex Sutton (asutton@theriverclub-ga.com) or bring the card back to the Golf Shop on your next visit. Handicap revisions take place on the 1st day and the 15th day of each month.
