Tara is a Yoga Teacher and has a PHD in Neuroscience Tara's fascination with human behavior and optimizing biology to live with more ease led her to study the neuroscience of health and disease over the past fifteen years Drawing upon her insight and research gained through working within both academia and industry, Tara began to explore mindful movement, meditation and breathwork to optimize health and wellbeing Tara's classes focus on awareness, acknowledgement and acceptance as a foundation for growth She guides students in a light-hearted and playful way with an emphasis on mindfulness
LAENA MCCARTHY
Laena McCarthy started Anarchy in a Jar in 2009, cooking in the wee hours of the morning, making jam in restaurant kitchens, borrowed through the kindness and generosity of her community Anarchy in a Jar is not a commodity, it's built around people growing, making, and sustaining real food ecosystems.
An international career in science support and academia ignited her interest in food, and she learned creative recipes from people she met around the world for preserved foods that were both tasty and healing Laena landed back in NYC and decided to make her passion for preservation into a business

DRUM MEDITATION
RHYTHM OF HAPPINESS WITH CALEB

Using the drum as an anchor, Caleb will lead participants through a rhythmic breathing exercise that calms the nervous system Participants will then be led through a guided meditation that focuses on the rhythm of the heart and activating the body through tapping and some movement The purpose of this experience is to close the stress cycle which so many of us experience throughout different parts of our day and become more present.
DIY TEA BLEND

Set up as a casual, walk-up booth experience, this will act as an introduction to herbal tea, with guided instruction on how to create your own blend to ease the pressure of life’s built-up tensions. Our host will go over the need-to-knows to get that perfectly balanced blend. She’ll cover the principles of herb blending, discuss how to properly combine tastes, review the various medicinal uses of tea, and dig into the overall brew method for those that want to engage

SUCCULENT WORKSHOP
Enjoy this relaxed hands-on workshop where you’ll create a oneof-a-kind terrarium in an 6” glass container to bring the outdoors in.
Learn about the necessary ingredients and design for a happy and thriving succulent plant environment. Have fun customizing yours with the plants, sand, pebbles, moss, and other decorative items of your choosing. All necessary supplies and tools provided-even the plant!
These little gardens are super easy to care for and exciting to watch develop over the following months and years.
