Student Government President On Tuesday and W ed nesday of last week the ballots were cast fo r the Student Government Officers for the 1959-60 academic year. The new president is D ea nn a Encalada, fr om Beli z, Bri tish H o nduras, wher·e she graduated from Saint Catherine 's Academy. D ea nn a is pr·esentl y a Jun ior Spanish major. Since coming to Salve Regin a she has been act iv·e on campus, having been the secretary a nd president o f the spa nish cl ub in succeed ing years. Deanna has been o n the D ea n 's list and just rece ntl y received the honor of being nomin ated for Sigma Phi Sigm a, a national Mercy H o nor Society. D ea nna is also act ive in soda lity a nd has w o rk ~ d on the committees for the Saphire a nd Crystal Balls.
