On the window sill farthest to the right, Herman, our turtle and class mascot, lives in a pebble-bottomed glass aquarium. At the left end of the hall is a large, twenty-bed dormitory, which is divided into sections by ivory partitions. As you could probably surmise, the floor of Mercy Hall¡, the dorm, double and quad rooms, is the scene of studying, chattering, and general college life of the freshmen. The first room you see upon arriving on the second floor is a spacious hall, which, at present, contains a maple desk and chair, a large teekwood table, and a bulletin
