EUROPEAN SCHOOL NETWORK Els valors dels adolescents Teenage values
MISSION STATEMENT This project aims to build a meaningful and long-lasting relationship between the educational institutions involved. Our aim is to involve as many members of our
local
communities
in
realising
that
there
are
many
important
issues/problems, which will need discussing/solving on an international level/platform/setting. This will work best by promoting communication, exchanging ideas and understanding other points of view. The
project
will
require
cooperation
at
five
levels,
enhancing
the
learning/understanding of staff, students and the wider community. The five levels will be headteachers, coordinators, ICT experts, teachers and students. Subject teachers share knowledge on the topics. Methods and strategies in approaching the topics should be discussed. One of the objectives is that students have authentic work experiences.

Palau Falguera picture
PALAU FALGUERA is a stately building of the seventeenth century located in Sant Feliu de Llobregat. In 1636 the merchant Jaume Falguera purchased two houses adjacent to a farmer from Sant Feliu, Jaume Rovira. The main facade of the building, which opens onto the garden, was built around 1870. The project was comissioned by Josepa Falguera. It is a Neoclassical style building with elements derived from Romanticism. It has an area of about 2800 m 2 surrounded by gardens. At present, the Palace offers several services. There are 23 classrooms to be used for musical training, an exhibition hall, a concert hall, a musical toy library, and a restaurant. The gardens are open to the public to walk around and the Palace can also be visited at certain times.
CULTURAL VISIT Park Güell entrance by Sergi Castignani, 2005
PARK GÜELL This park was designed by Antoni Gaudí, the most prominent Catalan architect of the new style that appeared by the end of 19th century through the industrialised countries in Europe. In Catalonia, this style was called “Modernisme”, whereas in other places it took different names, such as “Modern Style “ in Scotland or “Art Nouveau” in France. Mr Güell, a very wealthy patron who commissioned most of Gaudi´s buildings, wanted to build an urbanization inspired by the concept of the garden city that had already been developed in Great Britain, like Letchworth Garden city. Mr Güell asked Gaudí to design it on top of a hill of Barcelona, far away from the busy streets of the unhealthy industrial city. Unfortunately, the wealthy families of that time didn’t appreciate Gaudi’s wild artistic ideas, so they didn’t want to live there an eventually, it became a park.
How to get to Park Guell
Metro stop "Lesseps" (Green Line, L3) On leaving the metro follow the street signposts for the park Open hours from 10:00 (closing time varies for different times of year )
LA PEDRERA
La Pedrera (Casa Milá)
The building was built for the Milá family between 1906 and 1910 and was Gaudí´ s last important civil monument before starting with the construction of the Sagrada Familia. It looks more like a real sculpture than a building. Due to its innovative nature, the building may be consider as a Gaudí´ s typical work of art in which the geometric lines are only straight lines that create curved effects. The façade is an impressive wave- like stone, where forged iron is also present in its balconies.
Access: Bus lines 7, 16, 17, 22, 24 and 28. Metro line 3 (Diagonal station). FGC (Provença station). RENFE (Passeig de Gràcia station).

The popularity of this place is not gratuitous, but it has been dreamed up throughout these years and its costumers have been transmitting it through the mouth-ear. In Can Culleretes you will be able to taste so typical plates of the Catalan kitchen like escudella, civet of wild pig, spinach cannelloni with codfish or butifarra with beans. We are in the Gothic District of Barcelona, next to Les Rambles, near Plaça Reial and Plaça Sant Jaume.
