Thy Kingdom Come‌
Millennial Prophecies in the Book of Psalms
Introduction: Immediately after Jesus' return and our Rapture and Resurrection to be with Him, the Church, His bornagain children, will join the Lord in that wonderful Wedding Supper of the Lamb in Heaven, while the wicked will be suffering the Wrath of God on Earth, where they will finally gather together under their Satanic, Devilpossessed, Antichrist leader to actually attempt to war against Jesus Christ Himself and His resurrected Heavenly forces in the horrific Battle of Armageddon! In this final great battle of Armageddon, the forces of God gain a glorious victory over the forces of Satan and destroy him, or at least defeat him, his Antichrist, his False Prophet and his whole kingdom! Then we, the Saints of God, along with our King Jesus Christ, will take over this World as it now is--this present World--and we will organise it, rule and run it the way it should have been run if man had yielded to God! The Bible says that this amazing period will last for one thousand years and therefore it is known to Bible Prophecy students as the Millennium, which is Latin for a thousand years. The Scriptures are just full of descriptions of this beautiful Millennial period, in fact, more is said about the Second Coming of Christ, His rule and reign on the Earth as its King, its Messiah, than it does even about the First Coming! --because this is the purpose of it all! This is the marvellous Happy Ending of it all! Therefore God's Word gives us a very literal, exact description of what it's going to be like under the marvellous rule and personal visible reign of Christ here on Earth, and, as you'll see, it's going to be absolutely wonderful!
Surprisingly, you’ll find very little about the Millennium in the book of Revelation. It only devotes a few verses to the whole Millennium! That’s in the 20th chapter: "They shall live and reign with Him a thousand years" while the Devil is bound. (Rev.20:4.) We have to go back to the Old Testament for it, because the Old Testament prophets, mostly David, Isaiah and a few others, were so interested in that Kingdom of Christ. The Jews seemed to be more interested in His Kingdom than they were in Him, so that when He actually came, when Jesus came, sadly most didn't even recognise Him! They were so eagerly looking and waiting for the Kingdom that many missed the King! Thank God for those who didn’t!
Old Testament Prophets
King David was one of those prophets that wrote about the Kingdom and this class covers his prophecies! You might say, "I thought David was just a King?" Oh, but David was a Prophet, he was also a Priest of His people and he was a King. But foremost and above all he was a Prophet of God who wrote the beautiful Psalms and in there, he describes time and again the marvellous beautiful coming Kingdom of Jesus Christ! It is important to note that most scholars agree that some of the prophecies David recorded were partly fulfilled by his son Solomon’s reign but that they will ultimately be fully fulfilled in Christ’s Kingdom of the Millennium and in the New Earth. First of all, David starts with the Antichrist kingdom and the Battle of Armageddon raging against us, the forces of good against evil. (This could also apply to the Battle of Gog and Magog at the end of the Millennium.) Psalm 2: 1-6 "Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the Earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against His anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us."--That's what they will say during the Great Tribulation of the Antichrist!--"He that sitteth in the Heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision."--God gets the last laugh! "Then shall He speak unto them in His wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion." In the Bible, Zion is both the city of David and the city of God. As the Bible progresses, the word “Zion” transitions from referring primarily to a physical
city to having a more spiritual meaning. “Zion” is used figuratively of Israel as the people of God, and in the New Testament as God's spiritual kingdom and the heavenly Jerusalem. But the physical and geographical composition of that “hill of Zion” might change according to the prophet Zechariah. He prophesied that the Mount of Olives will cleave in two when Jesus return and stands there, like a great earthquake, and cause a very great rift or very great valley. It's going to split wide open! The mountains around Jerusalem will apparently be flattened into a plain or a plateau. That temple area that the Jews and the Arabs are fighting over, well, guess who's going to get it?--Jesus! ZEC.14:4, 5, 9-11 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south… and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee…(At the battle of Armageddon) And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. --In the Millennium-- All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place... And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited. At last, peace!! Only with Jesus can this happens! Psalm 2: 7-12 "I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me"--speaking now to Jesus--"Thou art My Son; this day have I begotten Thee." Many Jews don't see the Son of God in the Old Testament only because they are blind! There are none as blind as those that will not see, they don't want to see. Their mind is made up, they don't want to be confused with the facts of the Scripture! But here it is! "Ask of Me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the Earth for thy possession." What is He going to do one of these days? He's going to give us the entire Earth, all of it! Praise God! Mat.5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Luk.12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. "Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron"—Jesus is going to break the kingdoms of man: this time Christ will come as the King of kings, Lord of lords, and it’s going to be an enforced rule, a strong iron autocracy over the unsaved. It won’t be a democracy but a theocracy. "Thou
shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.” (Dan.2:34, 35, 44) No more wicked governments and unjust rulers in a corrupt world--but a completely total rule of the righteous with Jesus Christ as King! “Be wise now therefore, o ye kings: be instructed, ye Judges of the earth."--If you don't want to be broken! "Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him." Do you put your trust in Jesus? Then you're going to be safe! Don't worry, everything is going to be all right. Psalm 10:16 "The Lord is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of His land." That's what's going to happen then. Psalm 22:22, 27, and 31 "I will declare thy name unto my brethren: and in the midst of the congregation will I praise Thee. For all the ends of the World shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before Thee." Before this they were worshipping the Antichrist, then they're going to have to worship Jesus whether they like it or not. "They shall come and shall declare His righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that He hath done this." This was prophesied centuries ago before it ever happened, but we could be now the generation that is going to see it happen, going to see Jesus come, and see His reign set up on Earth. That’s the good news! The bad news is that the Antichrist, his reign of terror, the Tribulation, the Wrath of God, the battle of Armageddon and the horrors of all of this have to come first. But then the victory, the Heaven on Earth! Psalm 24:7-10 "Lift up your heads, o ye gates, and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the king of Glory shall come in! Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle! Lift up your heads, O ye gates: even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of Glory shall come in! Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory! Selah!" Do you know that even the Arabs have a prophecy from Mohammed in the Koran, that when Jesus returns He will come through the gate called "Beautiful" and take over the City of Jerusalem and reign as the Messiah and King of Kings! Therefore one Arab ruler, the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, many years ago didn't want Jesus to come and take the kingdom away from him, he was afraid He might come during his day! So you know what He did?--He walled up the gate "Beautiful" there on the side of the wall in Jerusalem! To this very day it is still sealed
because God prophesied that no man should go through that gate again. The prophet Ezekiel prophesied centuries ago that it would be closed, when at that time it was one of the most popular gates of Jerusalem on a well-travelled highway that ran through that gate into the city. “Then said the LORD unto me; this gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut. It is for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the LORD; he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.” (Eze.44:2-3; 43:1-4) So we are expecting that gate to open somehow, maybe by an earthquake or something when Jesus comes, because the Lord predicted He would come through that gate. The Devil had it sealed up to try to keep Him out, but that's not going to keep Jesus out! He's going to come through that gate anyway, praise God! So if you hear of them working on that gate and maybe the Jews decided to open it up, then it must be getting very near the time when Jesus is coming! Praise God? That's the gate it's talking about here in this beautiful passage, praise God! The day is coming when: Psalm 46:9, 10 "He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; He breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the Earth." Psalm 47:1-3, 7, 8 "O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph! For the Lord Most High is terrible; He is a great King over all the Earth."--In the Millennium! "He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet… For God is the King of all the Earth: sing ye praises with understanding. God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of His Holiness." All of these marvellous predictions of the coming Kingdom of Christ upon Earth! Dan.7:27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. Psalm 45:2, 6, 7, 16, 17 "Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever." For "Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of Thy Kingdom is a right sceptre. Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows." Speaking of us, His Millennial Bride: "Instead of thy fathers
shall be thy children, whom thou may make princes in all the earth. I will make Thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise Thee for ever and ever!" (Mt.19:28, 1 Co.6:2, Rev.20:6) What wonderful, marvellous prophecies of the coming Kingdom of Jesus! Psalm 50:3-6 “Our God shall come and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before Him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about Him. He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the Earth, that He may judge His people. Gather My saints together unto Me; those that have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice. And the heavens shall declare His righteousness: for God is Judge Himself. Selah." That's the way it'll be when Jesus comes! My God, may God help us to be ready, amen? Psalm 66:3, 4 "Through the greatness of Thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee. All the Earth shall worship Thee, and shall sing unto Thee; they shall sing to Thy Name. Selah." Psalm 67:4-7 "O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for Thou shalt judge the people righteously"--not all judges today judge righteously-- "and govern the nations upon Earth. Selah. Let the people praise Thee, O God; let all the people praise Thee. Then shall the Earth yield her increase: and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the Earth shall fear Him." Psalm 68:18 For "Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: Thou hast received gifts for men"--the greatest being salvation--"yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them." God is even going to be good to the Wicked who will--some of them--survive all the horrors of Hell of the Antichrist, the Tribulation, the plagues of the Wrath of God and the Battle of Armageddon to finally come into this Millennial Period through which we will rule and reign over them with Christ with a rod of iron for a thousand years! Praise God! Psalm 72:1-17 "Give the King Thy judgements, O God!"--This is the 72nd Psalm and scholars believe this was written for Solomon but also as a type of Christ’s Kingdom of the future; almost the whole Psalm is a beautiful prediction of the Millennium-- "and Thy righteousness unto the King's Son." Who is the King's Son?--Jesus! Son of the King of all kings, God Himself! "He shall judge Thy people with righteousness" "and Thy poor with judgement." The world is going to see a righteous judge, a righteous King, a righteous
ruler at last who will have a righteous government! No corruption nor bribery nor crooked judges and politicians, but a righteous government and just justice! "The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. He shall judge the poor of the people, He shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor. They shall fear Thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations." Don’t think that something’s going to happen to the sun and the moon or the earth are going to be destroyed! God didn't make this creation to be destroyed. Well, after the Millennium, He's going to have to destroy the surface of the Earth and burn it up because of the pollution of mankind and its wickedness, but He's not going to destroy the ball, the planet Earth, nor the sun, nor the moon. They're going to continue to shine upon the Earth! We won’t need them in the Holy City that comes down from God, the Heavenly city out of Heaven to the earth! There'll be no need of sun or moon or stars there! We’ll be the stars, Jesus will be our Sun! But outside on the earth where the others are still learning and still being healed, they'll still need sunlight, moonlight and the stars. But you'll hear about that later! That is the New Earth and New Heaven, later! (Revelation chapters 21 and 22) "He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth. In His days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace as long as the moon endureth. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the Earth." Here it's speaking of the Kingdom of Christ on Earth, how it will be COMPLETELY over the whole World! Hab.2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. "They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before Him and His enemies shall lick the dust. The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents. The kings of Sheba and Seba (Ethiopia and/or Saudi Arabia?) shall offer gifts. Yea, all kings shall fall down before Him: all nations shall serve Him!" There won't be any religion then but Christianity, there won't be any Kingdom except that of Jesus Christ. "For He shall deliver
the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. He shall spare the poor and the needy and shall save the souls of the needy. He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in His sight.” "And He shall live, and to Him shall be given the gold of Sheba."--All that money those Saudi Arabians have got down there?--All that Oil, Petro-Gold? "Prayer also shall be made for Him continually; and daily shall He be praised. There shall be a handful of corn in the Earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon! And they of the city shall flourish like grass of the Earth." Well, of God's City, of the great City of God! "His name shall endure for ever: His Name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in Him: All nations shall call Him blessed." Isn't that beautiful? Isn't that a wonderful story? Isn't that a beautiful happy ending? It's almost the ending, we have a little bit further to go! Psalm 75:10 He says, "All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off." Remember those ten horns on the Beast in Daniel and the ten horns on the Beast in Revelation? He's going to cut off all the horns! "But the horns of the righteous shall be exalted." Dan.7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise… Rev.17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. Psalm 76:8-10 "Thou didst cause judgement to be heard from Heaven; the Earth feared, and was still. When God arose to judgement, to save all the meek of the Earth. Selah." You know what "Selah" means? It's a kind of a musical rest note. It means, "Pause and think about that!" This is a very weighty saying, this is a very wonderful thing, pause a moment, think about it! Selah! "Surely the wrath of man shall praise Thee: the remainder of Wrath shalt Thou restrain." Praise God, isn't that beautiful? Psalm 82:8 "Arise, O God, judge the earth: for Thou shalt inherit all nations." Psalm 85:10-12 “Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring out of the Earth; and righteousness shall look down from Heaven. Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good: and our land shall yield her increase." Men are still going to till the land
and build houses, marry and be given in marriage: the earth is going to be much the same as it is today, only we're going to be the rulers and the organisers and the policemen, the angelic policemen!--The supernatural men and women who are going to run the World as it ought to be run! Psalm 86:9 “All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before Thee, O Lord; and shall glorify Thy name." Praise God! Psalm 89:27-29, 36, 37 Also I will make Him My Firstborn" --Jesus-"higher than the kings of the Earth. My mercy will I keep for Him for evermore, and My covenant shall stand fast with Him. His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and His throne as the days of Heaven. His seed shall endure for ever, and His throne as the sun before Me." Maybe you thought that was all going to be destroyed?--no!--Sun, moon, Earth are going to continue to be here forever just the way God created them to be. Don't believe all this As the Days of science falsely so-called that the sun Heaven is growing cold and is going to burn out, and the Earth will fall into the sun and the stars are going to die etc. etc.! It's not Bible! Because the Bible says they’re going to last forever! God didn't create this Universe, this Solar System, the sun, moon, earth and stars to be destroyed, He created them to last forever! It's right here: "As long as His throne" –and His throne is certainly going to last forever, praise God? "As the sun before Me. It shall be established forever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in Heaven, Selah." Praise God? Psalm 96:10-13 "Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth! The World also shall be established that it shall NOT be moved: He shall judge the people righteously. Let the heavens rejoice, and let the Earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof." Let the unrighteous roar against Him, it doesn't matter, God will reign over them. "Let the field be joyful, and all there is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood
rejoice before the Lord: for He cometh, for He cometh to judge the Earth: He shall judge the World with righteousness, and the people with His Truth." Psalm 97:1-5 "The lord reigneth; let the earth rejoice! Let the multitude of isles be glad thereof. Clouds and darkness are round about Him: righteousness and judgement are the habitation of His throne. A fire goeth before Him, and burneth up His enemies round about. His lightnings enlightened the World: the Earth saw, and trembled." The Wicked are going to tremble in His presence during that thousand year reign of Jesus Christ and us His Saints upon this Earth! "The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole Earth. Psalm 98:2-3 The Lord hath made known His salvation: His righteousness hath He openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. He hath remembered His mercy and His truth toward the house of Israel"--the Christians, the new Israel of God, the chosen people of God! The former children of the Kingdom, Jesus said, would be cast out and we would come in! (Mt.8:12) We will inherit the Kingdom, all those who love Jesus!--Be they Jew or Gentile, bond or free, Greek or Roman or whatever, anybody who loves Jesus! You, if you love Jesus, are going to inherit the Kingdom of God on Earth! “All the ends of the Earth have seen the salvation of our God." In that day! Isn't that beautiful? Psalm 98:7-9 "Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein! Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together before the Lord; for He cometh to judge the Earth: with righteousness shall He judge the World, and the people with equity."--Equality, with evenness, fairness and justice! Psalm 102:15, 16 "So the heathen shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory. When the Lord shall build up Zion, He shall appear in His glory." He's building up His Worldwide Spiritual Zion, His “Israel of God”! "When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the Lord."--That's when it's going to happen on a vast scale! Psalm 102:25-28 "Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of Thy hands. They shall perish (the old atmospheric Heavens and the old surface of the Earth), but thou shalt endure." He's saying even when the old World perishes and He sets up the New Heavens and New Earth, He will still endure! The surface of the earth is going to perish, going to be burned up with fire completely, before the New Heaven and New Earth! (2Pe.3:7, 8; Rev.21:1) The atmospheric heavens are going to perish,
but He's going to create a new beautiful atmospheric heavens and Heaven on Earth in the New Heaven and New Earth which follow the Millennium. "Yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt Thou change them, and they shall be changed." Now, when you change your clothes you don't throw away your body too, you don't throw that in the wash, do you?--No! You just take off the raiment, the clothing, the exterior, the surface clothing, and that's what He's going to do to the Earth one of these days. The earth today is clothed with its dirty surface and its polluted atmosphere, but He’s going to remove them both by fire and make a completely clean New Earth and New Heavens!--Clean air, no pollution, no contamination upon the Earth, no poisonous gases and chemicals and the horrors of man, it'll all be cleaned up and washed clean with fire one of these days! Praise God? "But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end. The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee." God's going to keep us forever! Psalm 110:1-7 Now the 110th Psalm is almost entirely a Messianic Psalm: "The Lord said unto My Lord, Sit Thou at My right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool." "The Lord said to My Lord!" Jesus brought that up to the Scribes and Pharisees, what was He talking about? MAT.22:41-45 …Jesus asked them, saying, what think ye of Christ? Whose son is he? They say unto him, the son of David. He saith unto them, how then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? God talking to Himself? No, He was talking to Jesus His Son! "The Lord shall send the rod of Thy strength out of Zion:"--Jerusalem's going to be our capital then-- "rule Thou in the midst of Thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of Thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: Thou hast the dew of Thy youth. The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek." --He's talking about Jesus! There’s a beautiful symbolism here about Christ, that he was a priest to God. Although He was not a Levite, He was not of the priesthood, and yet God chose Him as a priest like He did Melchizedek. (Heb.6:20) "The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of His Wrath. He shall judge among the heathen, He shall fill the places with the dead bodies; He shall wound the heads over many countries. He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall He lift up the head." A day of judgement but also a day of victory and glory, a day of great power of His salvation! Psalm 118:22, 26 Then “The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner."-Of this new Kingdom of God! (Daniel 2:34-35) "Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord."
Psalm 132:11-14 The Lord hath sworn in truth unto David; He will not turn from it; of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne. If thy children will keep My covenant and My testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore." –This was a promise for the physical children and descendants of King David but it could even be applied to the saints who will rule and reign with Christ in the Millennium! "For the Lord hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for his habitation. This is My rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it." Zion, His people, His Church!--Or you can take the Holy hill of Zion in Jerusalem if you wish, because that's going to be His capital during the Millennium, not after. After the Millennium Jerusalem will no longer be the capital, then it will be the New City come down from God out of Heaven, the Heavenly City!--1500 miles high, 1500 miles wide, that gorgeous Golden City encrusted with diamonds, jewels, pearly gates and all kinds of beauty! That will be our capital then! (Rev.21 and 22) But during the Millennium, Jerusalem will be our capital and Jesus himself, the Son of God, will sit there as the King of kings!--At last the King of Israel and the King of the Jews: they will then realise He is their loving Messiah! Psalm 132:15, 16-18 I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread. I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy." Hallelujah! What a beautiful picture! Isn't that worth living and dying for! Living through it all for and living for Jesus for! "There will I make the horn of David to bud! I have ordained a lamp for Mine anointed. His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish." Daniel 2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Revelation 11:15, 17, 18 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art, and was, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
