Since March 2020 the Friendship Centre has been operating in a different capacity as a response to COVID 19 for public safety. Friendship Centre staff worked together to re-evaluate the needs of the St. Marys and Perth South residents during this time. Senior Services Supervisor, Jenny Mikita, took the lead and the St. Marys Community Wellness Program was developed with the support of Town Council. Currently, the Community Wellness Program is still operating with services including hot and frozen meals delivered to your door, delivery of groceries and other essential items, telephone reassurance, community resources, volunteer recruitment, virtual programs, telephone social programs, and new in August safe outdoor programs.
